Welcome to the official web site of The Skunkworks©. Contest-winning model builder Rick Dupuis will build a custom museum-quality die cast or plastic model to the highest standards. No two vehicles will ever be built exactly the same, which means the discriminating adult collector will have a truly one of a kind vehicle.

The die cast vehicles seen in my gallery are in private collections in the United States, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands and Japan. Please take a moment to browse through the gallery. If you would like to have your dream vehicle built to exacting standards, please contact me. I can supply most readily available castings from the Hot Wheels© line, but am more than willing to customize almost any vehicle you send to me. The possibilities are limited only by your (or my) imagination.

The Skunkworks© can also put twenty-five years of model-building experience into building your museum-quality plastic model kit. Any size of plastic kit can be built and customized, however aftermarket customizing parts for kits larger than 1/24 scale make it extremely expensive.

COST
Because of the vast differences in vehicles and the amount of detailing that would go into them, pricing must be done on an individual basis. Prices for plastic model kits vary considerably, depending on the detail involved. A contest-quality box-stock kit can be built for between $50-$75. depending on the kit. More detailing will of course increase the final cost.

A basic wooden display base can be added for any size vehicle at a cost between $10 and $30. More detailed bases, such as those for off-road or racing vehicles, will of course be more expensive because of the added detail involved.

SHIPPING

Hot Wheels© & Other 1/64 Scale Vehicles:

Shipping within North America will be $7 for air shipping, which includes insurance. Up to 4 cars can be shipped for this amount. Regular surface shipping is NOT recommended because insurance is not available. Regular surface shipping is $4 for up to 4 vehicles.

1/24 & Larger Die Cast & Plastic Models:

Shipping within North America will be $12, which includes insurance Each additional car will be $3. Regular surface shipping is NOT recommended because insurance is NOT available. Regular surface shipping will be $6 for one car and $3 for each additional car.

Customers outside of North America to pay actual shipping plus $3.
