Selam! Hi folks, here's a page for those who know me or are interested in life as a teacher living in Eritrea, North East Africa After leaving cheltenham UK where my favorite sandwich bar is The upper crust I've moved to Eritrea on a placement aranged by Voluntary Service Overseas. I'm employed by the Eritrean ministry of Education teaching IT at Asmara Comprehensive School in the Eritrean capital. Asmara is a beautiful place, quite bizarre Italian architecture (a legacy of colonialism) together with shantytowns, mosques and orthodox churches. The central catholic cathedral is spectacular. You can see some Photos of the city. We've managed to get around a bit and the links on this page should give you a little flavour of Eritrea and my life here.
