I enjoy being a part of this book club because I can reveal how I truly feel about the books. This club allows me to express myself without being subjected to ridicule. I enjoy Still I Rise Book Club because we do things other than read novels or biographies, or non-fiction. We have done a play, read our favorite children's book and poetry. We have also given away gently used children books and are planning to purchase books for other organizations, such as a battered women's shelter. What a wonderful way to get together for fellowship, food, fun and expanding our minds!
