| Harry Chapin was a singer songwriter in the 1970's best know for the songs "Cat's in the Cradle" and "Taxi." In 1975 he and several others started a now famous charity, World Hunger Year (WHY). Harry was an advocate on hunger and raised over 5 million dollars toward world hunger through various fundraisers. He thrived on over 200 concerts a year, half of them for charity. He was sadly killed in a car accident in 1981. He leaves a great leagcy behind. |
