The essence of a harmony
empowered by design
To live a life that glorifies
God's role in all mankind.
A never-ending circle
all hearts shall beat as one
When all the world comes face to face
with the damage they have done.

The earth is but a precious gift
extended by the hand
Until such time our years have passed
and we move from this land.
The circle of a wondrous life
from man to beast to sea,
It was to be a precious gift
His greatest masterpiece.

Eden was the untouched place
His promise made for us
But through the years we destroyed it all
with hate, anger and lust.
Drafted from His own image
we then evolved to be
A sad angry reflection
without love or harmony.

Turning on each other
living for ourselves
We didn't want to know no God
as we paved our way to hell.
Facets we thought were buried
deep within our hearts
Reared their ugly heads to say
when we have had enough.

Controlling our own destiny
is part of the new age
That makes us much better than
others from ancient days.
But are we so much better,
have we happiness?
Do we feel contentment now
are we truly blessed?

Do the riches of our lives
reflect what's in our hearts?
Do we just seek to be "ourselves"
or is God to be a part?
Ever since the fall of man
we've fought and spit and cursed
Living such rebellious lives,
yet when will we ever learn?

Eden was a precious gift
a place of sheer beauty
But we destroyed the remnants of
what it was meant to be.
And so we've created for ourselves
a world that merely breathes,
Living such an empty life
not knowing harmony.

"This is a different kind of religious poem in the sense that it is written like a fantasy-type of tale.   It poses the questions of life as to why the world is like it is?   And answers with the hard reality of because it's what we have done to it to make it this way.   Everything this world stands for today is what society has made of it.   We thought we could do better without God....and look where it has gotten us?   Are we much better off?   Are we happy?   Are we content?   Do we have peace in our lives?   Chances are the answers to those question, if you look deep into your hearts, the answer is NO.   And ironically the world was created as a peaceful place, for mankind to live in harmony.   Sadly it has become very much part of the circle of life to live without that sphere of harmony...with many people never knowing what it's like to have that harmony.   This poem is a tribute to that peace; that harmony for which we seek.   May we one day find it, before it is too late."
