The promise of tomorrow
brings new life within
Wonders that will never cease
have yet to begin ~
Earthly eyes rest on them
to catch a glimpse to see
The promise of tomorrow
come from Eternity.

The breath of life upon us
the nails within His hand
And even though we turn away
He still understands ~
His grace was more abundant
His love for all to see
The blood He shed for our sins
that day on Calvary.

The passion and His power
throughout all the land
A message sent to all who hear
this had always been the plan ~
To bear our sins and troubles
to take away our pain
Dying with His earthly flesh
so we can live again.

A love that's everlasting
a promise made anew
His grace that saved us from ourselves
He's faithful, just and true ~
His promise of tomorrow
rests within His arms
As He envelops me in love
I feel within my heart.

New life respresented
the presence of His name
A promise made to His children
that still His love remains ~
The cross that bore His body
a bridge from sin and death
Gave to us a better way
with His last dying breath.

Shadows of eternity
reflections in the heart
Searching for the answers to
questions we may ask ~
The promise of tomorrow
is not what we can see
But faith that takes us far beyond
the realms of Eternity.

"Ever wonder what eggs have to do with Easter?   When you see birds eggs, what do you think of?   What do those eggs represent to you?   Life.   In each of those little eggs, whether it birds or other animals, is a new life just waiting to begin!   That is the promise of Easter....the promise of tomorrow....of all our tomorrows.   Eggs symbolise "new life" just as Easter is a celebration of "new life".   A celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead, and a a celebration of our new life in Eternity!   But knowing it in theory is far different from believing it within the heart.   Jesus was born on earth as a child, grew to be a man and died as a King for our sins!   A film out now depicts that sacrifice He made for us ~ in graphic detail!   His passion was FOR us!   He loved us then (just as He does now) so much that He took all our sins, even those we had yet to commit, upon Himself....was tortured, tried and crucified because of His love for us!   Because of His passion!   And this poem is tribute to that passion and love for us; His promise for new life for us....His promise for tomorrow....and for Eternity."
