Some of the biggest improvments in this next generation of armor is the power source and capabilities. The circuits were built with a reduntant engeneering system, allowing other circuits to pick up the work load of damaged ones; Keeping Iron Man in battles that would of otherwise finished him. Wide spectrum energy assimilation circuits allow for massive energy assimilation, and redirection at Iron Mans discresion. He is able to boost his strength and energy levels incredibly, even absorbing power from a nuclear reactor. His standard energy storage capacity is double that of previous models.
With the larger and more efficient power systems, his strength was also amplified greatly. Using the most powerful motors Tony engineered at the time, the suit was capable of benching around 90 tons in optimum operating modes. Recharge time was reduced to minutes, and also employed solar power panels, and a thermocouple. And a climate control system for wearer comfort.
The armor was covered with a stronger Refractory coating then previous models, easily deflecting laser and other energy weapons. But also the skin was newly designed to absorb radar signals. Coupled with a radar wave bender, this model is incredibly stealthy.
The suit’s computer systems were also greatly improved. The creation of an early heads-up display (HUD) screen positions information in front of Iron Man’s view and provides holographic pictures and overlays. Visual optical scanners can drop down in view inside of the helmet o allow for scanning and recording information into the helmets memory circuits. Upgraded cybernetic controls make responce times quicker. The armor comes with a full range of sensors including thermal, radiation, neutron detector, also targeting/tracking, and telemetric sensors. A new Detection Unit is capable of picking up outside radar-tracking devices that lock on or “paint” him (e.g., incoming missiles), while a psionic tracer can detect and track even small traces of psionic energy.
Ultra-sonics allow for an early form of ground-penetrating radar. Helmet optics include an energy detection unit that can sense power sources, power cables, and so on. The on-board Navigation Computer allows I.M. to preprogram destinations and operate in auto pilot mode. Advanced audio receptors allow for eaves dropping and can detect people sneaking up on him. They also allow Iron Man to isolate individual human heartbeats. The integrated Sound Scanner is capable of separating out the frequency of all other noises, even a single whisper under tons of ruble.
Newly designed boot jets allowed for space and underwater operation with better efficiency. Tony got into the habit of jetting straight up into space and along with carefully calculating and earth rotation, travel cross country in minutes, with plenty of energy left for a fight. While the refractory coating and thermocouplers took care of the re-entry heat.
The armor came apart like previous models, the silver sections would de-polarize and fold into the boots and gloves. Leaving only a few parts for Tony to carry in his case. The face mask folds up into the mask allowing Tony to expose his face. A new feature is that each piece of armor has a limited power supply able to be controled via the helmet. The boots had limited flight, and the gloves had a one shot repulsor blast.
New defensive features include a six second force field. Used sparingly cause of the energy consumption, it is able to deflect a direct missile attack.
Another new feature that saw limited use, was a Chamelion effect that used holograms over the armors surface to blend into the environment. Though with a careful look you might be bale to see Iron Mans outline, along with his radar bending technology, it rendered him invisible.
It was found that the technology was causing muscle deterioration to Tony, so the feature was later removed and replaced with a new safe version, but it did not work as well.

A new feature is Pulse Bolt gauntlet cannons. Each beam gets stronger the further they travel, and can be focused to disintegrate materials.
A disrupter field allows for directed interference of electrical systems.

Unibeam with searchlight mode, concussion beam, and is capable of projecting many wave lengths of variable light, including UV
Sonic Weapons: Variator Rays that magnetize opponents and stick them to things or each other.
