Another year has flown by and we are indeed thankful for your precious support. Though 2005 has been marked by very low economic growth, we are grateful that your support has been very encouraging. It’s your thoughts and contributions that have made our work possible.
It gives us great pleasure to announce some of our achievements for the year. St. John Ambulance Malaysia held Blood and Organs Donation Campaign nationwide through out the year. We are confident that this would help to those needy in the hospital. We are also happy to have hosted again the Southern Region Training Camp at Pontian, Johor and it was attended by one hundred and thirty participants from a total of nine areas including other State. Indeed, we are proud that we were given the opportunity to.
In the area of servicing the public, we were out for first aid and public services for more than one hundred hours including the Rahman Walkathons, National Day Parade and all types of special function like Mid Autumn Festival Special etc.
As a step towards encouraging more active participation among the first aider in the running of the Society, leadership training workshops were organized at national level for its current leaders as well as potential leaders. Meanwhile, we also give special and short emergency first aid courses for the factories to equipped them as and when they needed.
We would also like to share with you our plans for the next twelve months. We are continuing to hold Blood and Organs Donations Campaign. Leadership training seminar, first aid courses are in schedule to upgrade our adult and student members for better service to the public.
Raising funds for an ambulance also in the big plan for this coming year. With this ambulance, we will be able to give more efficiency and confident first aid treatment to the public.
