Special thanks to Artís Drilling who has re-imbursed the full amount of the cost of drilling test holes for our new church.

Last week a cheque in the amount of $353.10 made out to St. Johnís Building fund was received from Art and Luella Kroeker, owner of Arts Drilling.

Also a big thank you to Bob Cowan who with the help of Denis, watered our new trees free of charge during our recent dry spell.

Our Corn & Apple Bingo Committee would like to thank everyone who donated their time and vehicles to help make this Building Fundraiser a success!

The net profit for 2003 was $3,086.24.

Over the five years we have run this event, we have raised $15,944.85.

When our GICíS from this account come due in October, we will add another 683.73 in interest to this amount, giving us a grand total of $16,628.58.

Itís a lot of work, but it is worth the effort.Thank you for your cooperation.

Building Fund Update

(Nov. 30, 2002)

Our Building Fund thermometer has now passed $407,000 raised for our new church.

Some people think we are losing momentum in our objective to build a new church. While some people may have slowed down, others are picking up the slack.

Donations for Sept. and Oct. 2002 were $833.83 higher than Sept. and Oct. 2001.

Our objective is to reach $30,000 in donations this year. Please help us reach our objective.

Pledges & Donations Committee

Each year in mid-December, the Archdiocese pays us interest on the money we have in our building fund.In the past five years, this has amounted to over $26,000.

Low interest rates are hurting everyone, but this payment will help bring our Building Fund Income for the year to well over $50,000.
