International Order of Rainbow for Girls!! |
Rainbow is a non-profit, service-oriented organization that teaches leadership through service to the community. The seven colors of the Rainbow represent seven teachings that each member recieves on her journey toward the pot of gold. The International Order of Rainbow for Girls (IORG) is a youth group for girls between the ages of 11-20. Local groups (Assemblies) are usually sponsored by Masonic affiliations, such as the Masons, the Order of Eastern Star, the Court of Amaranth or Order of White Shrine.. On April 6, 1922, the degrees of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls were first exemplified to a class of one hundred seventy-one girls in the auditorium of the Scottish Rite Temple in McAlester, Oklahoma. |

Saint Louis Assembly #3 was founded on July 3, 1924 and has met in various places in the area over the years. Today, the Assembly meets at Kirkwood Lodge on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. We eat dinner at 6:30pm and then the meeting begins!! This year, our Grand Worthy Advisor has chosen Domestic Violence Shelters as her service project. We will be collecting items that someone might need if they have to go to one. Our local Worthy Advisor has chosen Breast Cancer Awareness as her service project for her term. We will be doing things to help support this cause as well. Check our calendar to see what's up! |
