Session Outline | ||||||||||
Each session should take about an hour with point number 8 below using up 40-45 minutes of that time. 1. Opening Prayer 2. Clarify the Learning Goals: 1. To broaden and deepen our understanding of our Anglican faith. 2. Generate good discussion and dialogue. 3. Clarify facilitator's role as being not that of a teacher, but a resource person. 4. Remind participants that they will only get out of this program what they are willing to put into it. 5. Clarify that some of the topics covered will be simple and others complex, BUT each person is encouraged to take what they want from each reading and session and leave the rest behind. This is for their growth. There is no final exam. There is no right or wrong. 6. Present the appropriate Session Starter. 7. Ask for any quick questions about the readings for clarification. 8. Break into small groups (5-8) and discuss the questions from the reading. During this time the facilitator will move from group to group to encourage discussion and answer questions. 9. Closing Prayer |
