Rapid Intervention Team

Each team member will rotate through the four positions.

Positions

Pumper Operator

Hose man

Tool man

Crew leader

Once all four times have been posted, the average of the times will be posted as the completion time.

1. Teams begin in truck with full turnouts & SCBA.

2. On start, they exit the truck and perform assigned duties.

a. Hose man deploys 2 lengths of 1 ½ hose

b. Tool man gets tools and ½ of ventilation fan

c. Crew leader has radio and ½ of ventilation fan

d. Pumper Operator

3. A,B,C crew will then advance to structure and begin ventilation

4. Crew leader will then issue the “charge line” command to pump operator.

5. A and B crew will then move a ball from the starting point into a soccer goal at the end of the course.

6. Once through the course, crew leader will give the “stand down” command to pump operator.

7. Once hose pressure has been turned off, hose nozzle will be removed. Once removed, all 3 members must report back to the accountability with the nozzle before time will stop.

**If a team member air runs out, team will have to continue short one man.**
