Christian Education at St. Michael

Faith is not a static thing. It is always changing. It is either growing stronger or getting weaker. It is our goal to see to it that the faith of those who are part of our faith community is always growing stronger. And so we provide educational opportunities for everyone.

That process begins with educational packets being sent to the families of newborn children on a regular basis until the child is three years old and can begin classroom education.

Sunday morning classes are offered for three-year olds through adults from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday before Memorial Day.

Other opportunities for learning are available as well.

A week of Vacation Bible School is offered to children who are three years old through fifth grade during the last full week of July each summer.

Instruction leading to first communion is offered to fifth grade youth each year during Lent.

More intensive study of the scriptures and of Lutheran doctrine is given to seventh and eighth grade youth as they prepare for the rite of Confirmation.
