A week's holiday on a houseboat on the South Australian section of the Murray river is a great way to relax and recuperate; and the cost compares to a week in rented accommodation. The difference is that you can change your view any time you like, and some of the views are wonderful.

Reading by the fire

It was winter. We had moored the houseboat at a place where it was easy to get on and off, and where there was plenty of firewood.

This sociable buch of kids were all more interested in reading than they were in admiring their suroundings or in conversing.

Mist on the water

We made a start travelling fairly early this morning, it was almost perfectly calm and there was a light mist in places.
