"Stokie No1"

"Stokie No1" is a modern working Canal Boat,trading Diesel & Solid Fuels on the inlandwaterways of the U.K.

Owned and operated by "John Chard" & "Brioni Sharman" to whom she is home.
"Stokie" was built by "John Pinder & Son" of Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, West Midlands in 1993 for Brioni & her late husband David.
Since her completion she has extensivly travelled the U.K. attending Inland Waterways festivals and shows, winning awards as she goes.

Namely in 1996,& 1999 "The Cressy Award",for best live aboard narrowboat. But also the "AJP Ritchie Cockeral" trophy for best turned out working boat in 1999.  Competition at these shows is always very stiff.

Since being completed she has also been used by T/V production companies in the making of various programs. For example. "The Antiques Trail", "Lonely Planet" and the "Waterworld" series due to be shown in Jan 2001, in the U.K.
