(CH Macdega Glenhart Grand Prix, ROM x Am CH/U-GR CH StoneFox Poet In My Heart,CGC) Turbo went to the 1999 UKC Premier and came home with the title of 1998 #1 Shetland Sheepdog by winning Best of Breed at the Top Ten competition and also got a new agility title. He repeated this #1 performance at the 2001 Premier. We couldn't attend the 2000 Premier so these wins were back to back for us. At the 1998 Premier(which was held in June of 99), besides winning Top Ten on the same day, Turbo qualified at all three trials in agility to gain his U-AGI and is considered a Total Dog in the UKC. Turbo finished his AKC Novice Agility title He finished with three Clean Runs in AKC with placements in all three trials. Turbo had numerous UKC Best In Shows, Best In Multi-Breed Shows and Reserve Best In Multi-Breed shows, one of the BIMBS was from the North Eastern Multi-Breed and Obedience Club, the largest UKC show on the East Coast. We will always be very proud of Turbo's accomplishments! Turbo finished his American Championship at the Three Rivers Shetland Sheepdog Club in Finleyville, Pa under Mrs. Nioama Stoner Coen on June 21, 2002. This was another 5 point specialty major to finish. We were so thrilled with this win and honored that it was with Mrs. Coen. Turbo also went Best of Opposite over specials at the same show, all at 8 years of age! Turbo is AKC/UKC DNA, OFA Excellent, vWd clear, Thyroid normal and Cerf'ed. Turbo is a Pure-for-Sable Shetland Sheepdog, and is also white factored. |

A grateful thanks to all the judges that made his championships a reality. A very, very special thanks to Peter Denbow for his excellent handling and wonderful presentation of Turbo! Turbo absolutely loved his "Uncle Pete" Never give up on your dreams because when they come true they are worth it all |
Here is a poem written especially for Turbo by our very speical friend Avis May (The poem was written from another dog's point, a Border Collie named Kit, who traveled with Avis and the rest of Turbo's friends, Julia Bonelli and Lori Girard, to all the shows, trying to get that last major) On The Road Again From Your Friends It began when I was just a pup, the long and windy road came up, They said he just needed a major, it seemed to me easier to ask a favor, In June I was on the road again, taking me to places quite unknown, so the King could sit upon his throne. Hours were spent on research, finding majors was quite a search, The summer went by without a show, everything moved so very slow, In September I was on the road again, taking me to places quite unknow, so the King could sit upon his throne. All the way to Iowa they would go, only to find the judge was not so, Then on to Interstate, but it was not to be his fate, In the fall there was a show, not so far for everyone to go, A five point major speciality, Reserve Winners dog is what he would be, We entered shows far and wide, only to see the major slide, Florida and Virginia Beach, just weren't within our reach, The faithful friends of his kingdom, followed his lead with all their wisdom, You can do it they would say, but we just couldn't find a way. In February we were on the road again, taking me to places quite unknown, so the King could sit upon his throne. A Sheltie speciality in Chicagoland, seemed the perfect place to all his fans, A five point major it was to be, but Reserve Winners was all he would see, A saddened group returned back home, wondering where to fine the throne, Asking why others don't know, the King is really Best In Show, In April on the road again, taking me places quite unknown, so the King could sit upon his throne Two more specialities were at hand, cheering him on were all his fans, The disappointment it was growing, the towel we would be throwing, Now all his friends they got together, they would be sure to make a major, Dylan, Gabe and Brass, each would enter in their very own class, In June they were on the road again, taking me to places quite unknown, so the King could sit upon his throne. A sheltie speciality it would be, that would make everyone see, Why this Grand Prix clone should sit upon his very own throne, It was not without Pete, that he accomplished this feat, we all knew he had been found, For that day, he would earn his crown, All his friends were very proud, as they screamed and cried aloud, They all knew people would no longer wonder, for now he is Champion StoneFox Days Of Thunder, No more on the road again, taking me places quite unknown, Turbo the King sits upon his throne. In October of 2007 Turbo's daughter from his second litter finished her Grand Championship. This was a very special moment for us because it made Turbo the very first UKC ROM Shetland Sheepdog Sire. This required 3 Grand Champions and 6 Champions. A very special thanks to the owners of the Turbo puppies, Avis, Brenda & Michele, that helped us accomplish this wonderful honor. Here are the Turbo kids that made it possible: U-Gr Ch StoneFox Talladega "Tally" U-Gr Ch StoneFox The Thunder Rolls "Garth" U-Gr Ch StoneFox Boy From The Country "Clay" U-Gr Ch Maskova Victory Lane @ Riptide "Sara" Owned by Avis May U-Ch StoneFox Deal With The Ladies "Player" U-Ch StoneFox Perhaps Love "Annie" U-Ch StoneFox Such Sweet Thunder "Amanda" U-Ch StoneFox Rocket Man "Rocky" Owned by Brenda U-Ch Springhill's Watching From Above "Wyatt" Owned by Avis May |
Our dear friend Avis wrote another poem in honor of Turbo's ROM. We'd like to share it with you since it goes along with the one from Kit above. This time it is from Sara and Wyatt: When we were young and starting to show, a BC Kit told us his tale of woe It began when he was just a pup, the long and windy road came up Now we were on the road again, taking us places quite unknown, so our Dad could sit on a new throne. We trotted and baited around the ring, my sister Sara was even known to sing, We teamed up for Champion and Grand, because we knew our Dad was the best in the land. Rainbow Bridge has claimed our Dad, his friends and us are very sad, But he is the first sire to be a U-ROM, although the award must be accepted by his MOM; No more on the road again, taking us places quite unknown, our DAD sits on his new throne! Love Sara, Wyatt and Friends Avis May October 2007 |

Rainbow Bridge Shelties |
Although Turbo is now at the Bridge, I did not have the heart to take down his site. He has been, and will remain the most special dog I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with. I continue to miss him with a very empty spot in my heart. Until we meet again one day at the bridge, this site remains a dedication to you, my dear friend Turbo |
