This years MIKESTOCK was a huge success!
We had about an even 100 people!!!
There were several times where the wind whipped up and twice it rained, once for a minute or two and once for about 1/2 hour.
The tents held fast! and everyone pretty much stayed dry
Except for those who really wanted to get wet!....
    View on!

Bob waving hello
Saturday, August 4th at MIKESTICK 2001.

Ute. In the flesh, and clothing.

Ute watches Yaffa play with her little one.

Kadin, checking out Yafa's daughter while waiting for the pool tournament.

Amy is in sudden shock when we tell her that she is the children's "entertainment".

Ed and Mike danced so gracefully together that they were invited to demonstrate their ballroon dancing techniques at Shoprite next year.

Bobby's wife, Joanie, watches as he and Mike jam it out on stage; Carol, his sister, watches on in awe.

Tommy Clegg of Xposuremusic.com and family.
Tom has a web site for the up and coming musician where you can place selections of your music on his page, for a modest fee, and Anyone can surf on in and check it out!
Email him at Exposureself@Exposuremusic.com for more information!

Chris and Rich play horseshoes.
The horses were so upset that they started playing Human Shoes!

Ute talking with our guests, reassuring them that even though we had plenty of stir-fry, it was merely coincidental that our cats were missing...

It started out as a "Menagerie" crew but quickly turned into a lot more. John got on the drums instead of Salina (who took harmony vocals), Bobby joined Mike on guitars and Eric jumped on Ute's keyboard while she was away (feeding the populace), and Rich played his fish, I mean bass.
Bobby loved playing with the Menagerie crew so much that he asked for a personalized autograph of the band on his guitar.
We said no, but a band logo could be branded on his forehead.
We haven't heard from him since.

John loved Mikes drum kit so much that we had to use the jaws of life to get him off the seat.

Would you believe it started as a wart on his butt and it grew arms and legs!
No, just kidding, just Devin and Kadin at MIKESTOCK 2001.

This Year Bob and Cindy brought a wonderful MIKESTOCK 2001 Cake!
Tif and Carol were getting hungry.

Richard and his guests show up Every year; they are veteran's, and proud of it!
"I am Proud to be a Mikestockianite"!
I believe that to be an exact quote.

Larry really loved the music and when Mike said that he was going to take a short break he got a little angry!

Here we have Mike, Eric, Judy and Ed on Drums. Talented musicians who wisely have not given up their day-jobs...

Eric grabbed his guiar and Shamus got on the bass while Mike ran over to the keyboards.

Carol and Kevin, sharing some suds, vigilantly guarding the keg, warding off all intruders while simultaneously testing it's pungeant, soporific liquids for quality control assurance...
In the rain...
And loving it!

We had a lot of partiers at MIKESTOCK 2001
Officially it is a Barbecue because we had lots of kids, entertainment, food, friendship and wholesome fun!
Can't forget the beer and soda.

Later in the evening we had AnnMarie and Kevin and Bonnie Belle show up.
AnnMarie got up and did two with Mike but Bonnie had returned from an exhausting tour just that day and was a little tuckered.
She has promised us a lengthy set Next Year!
Richard brought several of his friends along and enjoyed the music.

Mike took the bass here because Eric wanted to play with ALL OF HIS TOYS! No matter what Mike had, he had to play with it too. Judy kept on singing and Ed sat there, wondering how he had gotten into this mess.

The kids looked on with anticipation of their turn at the pool table...

It is great to pose with the guests.
They were practicing for the police line-up they were expecting to be in shortly.

I haven't been to too many outdoor barbecues with a pool table in the yard!

Dooley and Mike K. were warming up over by the bar prior to the mad rush of guests that would be arriving shortly.

The pool table was a great hit.
When the horseshoes were full and you weren't playing you could always relax to a nice game, with some great music at the same time!
Did I mention that there weren't any mosquitos this day, quite peculiar...

Ute joins Rene, Brian, Ralph and Ryan.
They were running a pool-shark ring that was initially attempting to hustle school kids lunch money but after loosing all of their initial investments, that and the deeds to their cars, they decided to count their losses and invest all of their remaining funds into underwater submarine painting.

The rain had just started to come down so the pool table was quickly cover up.

Dan and Tim have a strange ritual that involves the pulling of hair whenever they arrive at a party.
Mike was kind enough to oblige and was allowed to keep and eat anything he found!

Ralph, Ryan, Rene and Dan did what they could to play before the rain really hit but when it did it proved to be more FUN than a hinderance!

The look on Amy's face was priceless when she found out that she was to be the childrens entertainment comittee.
Just the look of sheer joy and elation was thanks enough.
Those are tears of joy!

Walter was a bit soaked but he was having too much fun to notice!
NOTE: Marie is no where to be found...

Here we have Carol, Ute, Barry and Bobby just waiting for it to rain on their half of the yard so that they could run around in it and get as wet as Walter!

More wet "MIKESTOCKIANITES" crowded by Mikes bar.
L->R: John, Mike, Carol, Kevin, Mike & Ute

Rich in the top of the picture felt as though he was an intricate part of the conversation so he decided to let them converse privately between themselves.

There were some overcast skies and it did end up raining for a total of about 1/2 hour but that stopped NO ONE!

Yes, it is truely "Fish-man", "Bass Player Extrordinaire", "Mental" Mike on bass (not fish).

For the 20 minutes that it did come down hard (Everyone was under the tents we had errected) Chris took this opportunity to practice his new game,
Underwater Basket Ball
Larry and Dooley enjoyed the Michelob tap beer but Larry was missing something, he needed something more.
That was when he figured out exactly what he needed.
So what if it was raining, he was wet, he had his beer, he had good music, no work the next day... Splendid time for some 'singing in the rain'.

Cindy enjoyed the music as her husband Shamus played his bass on stage with Mike and the gang.

Richard and his clan enjoyed the music, and stayed close to the food!

But little did Cindy realize it but we had secretly replaced Shamus with..
    Folgers Flaked Crystals!!!
And now the real Shamus was back playing horse shoes!

Mike's Dad and Walter had an intellectual conversation.

A couple gallons of beer later...

The clouds decided at this time to give us some water.
Carol didn't care if she got wet.
Neither did we...

Later in the evening everyone had to snuggle to stay warm.
Ok it was warm, but the beer was still cold!
NOTE: Snuggling not necessary but optional...
