Natalie's Poem

9/11

I had a dream of becoming a rock star.

I had a dream of being president.

I was gonna fulfill my first dream,

contract in hand.

I put on my head phones,

and listened to my favorite band.

Horror stuck.

My life became unreal.

They jabbed the knife in my arm,

"How does that feel?"

I screamed out in absolute horror,

blood pouring down.

Frantic women and men,

a boy made a horrified frown.

The yelling was piercing,

my stomach wanted to burst.

My dreams had been shattered,

I knew I was cursed.

People sobbing,

Frantically dialing home.

Fear had risen in me,

and I wasn't all alone.

We came upon the wrong destination,

horrid excitement ran fast in my blood.

The craft hit with much impact,

and the last thing I saw

was a murderous flood.
