Goodbye To a Good Friend

In Loving Memory, James "Tiny" Crabtree
August 26, 1945 - November 16, 2004

by: stooge

The racing world lost a great man today. No, he never drove a race car. No, he never owned a race team, never made a controversial call at NASCAR. But he touched many lives in the NASCAR world. Through his love for the sport he gave a lifetime to memorialize racing in stunning photos. When a disease robbed him of his ability to continue his photography at the races he found a chance to continue following NASCAR on the internet. And through his love of the sport we were all blessed with the chance to make his acquaintance. The racing world lost a great man today, James "Tiny" Crabtree.

Great photo of Tiny and his pal Ed as photographers!

Thought I'd dig out some of my old racing papers and find some:
Photos by Jim Crabtree
to show what our friend Tiny could do. Hope ya' like 'em!

P.S: Yes, I know the links to the right are "ancient." I am slowly dragging my site back out of mothballs and will fix them as I find time. Thanks!
