Have you ever wanted to tear a strip out of the newspaper, or kick the TV because someone said something that was so fundamentally stupid as to offend the senses? Then this page is for you.

It is dedicated to scraping the bull off politicians, government, corporations, special interest groups, and a variety of other demagogues and sacred cow issues.

You may not always agree with every comment, but I think you will find it thought provoking and stimulating at times.

THERE'S NOTHING PERSONAL ABOUT IT

My background is academic, so it is only the issues and ideas which concern me.

At the same time I have no problem tackling anyone, or anything that fits the definition of 'Bull Pooh'.

Who is really in control at city hall? There have been some reports about councillors who have had to 'beg' access to relevant information. This is a disturbing situation, the should be a matter of concern to all of us. Here's why....

THE  BULL POOH AWARD

Periodically this column will award the infamous BULL POOH AWARD to the person or group who has slung the Bull above and beyond the range of human endurance.

Whenever possible, the recipient will be chosen by the visitors to this site (see the Awards page for details and nomination form).

But best of all, the recipient will receive an illuminated copy of the award (click on the bull above, right) by email. together with an invitation to stuff it!
