Concrete Rain

Some dropped the kids off to school
Some heard confusion on the news
Others responded right away
Others just hung their heads silently to pray
Some were living a loved one's fears
Some closed their eyes, but still could hear
Others went high above the call
Others would realize they witnessed it all

Where were you?  Were you watchin' everything?
Where were you?  Could you feel any pain?
The day it all came down...the day of reckoning...
The day the sky was burning,
Burning in the CONCRETE RAIN

Oh Glory..........Glory be.........
Shower a bit of your reasoning on me...

And where were you?  Were you watchin' everything?
Where were you?  Could you feel any pain?
The day it all came down...the day of reckoning...
The day the sky was burning...burning...burning...
The day the sky was burning,
Burning in the CONCRETE RAIN

Souls...falling...Gently into your arms...
Lifted by wings...flown far from harm...

That is the vision, the vision that remains
As we wake up to a new day
In the mist of the CONCRETE RAIN
