“Wow! You both are married!”

“Damn! You are one lucky S#n of a b^&*h!”

“Yer better be good to her or I will whack yer like yer never felt before!”

“Congrats.”

“This is way quickly than I thought.”

One by one, the members of the Avalanche congratulate Cloud and Aeris as the newly wed couple. Cloud and Aeris just smiled at each other, although they really need some private time together.

“This is great, just great!”

“Wait! Should we get some gifts for them now?”

“You two been through so much. It’s time you two get together.”

“What about a party?”

“Hey! No church ceremony? What kind of wedding is this?”

The members of the Avalanche continued to laugh and make fun of each other. Cid’s house is probably the noisiest in the quiet city of Kalm. Man, they ought to take a break and leave the two alone.

“Hey! Where are you two going for your honeymoon?”

A question popped out from nowhere and Cloud and Aeris looked at each other. Although those night in the Ancient city is superb but it wasn’t sufficient. They still need a holiday, a holiday where nobody could disturb them.

“What about Costa de Sol?”

“No, Cosmo Canyon’s better.”

“I say they should go to Wutai.”

“Wutai, you must be crazy. Rocket town I say!”

“Heck! Icicle inn rules!”

The others argued again and Cloud signal to Aeris with a poke in her arm. Aeris followed Cloud and soon the two sneaked past the crowd and they were outside of Cid’s house. Now, they can have all time they wanted to. They just need to get away from the others. Now.

“Congrats.”

Cloud and Aeris turned around and saw Tifa behind them. They expected something more hostile, but instead, she was smiling at the two, sincerely congratulating him.

“Never thought you two can get along so quickly.”

Tifa said and she her smile grew broader. Cloud and Aeris kept quiet, not knowing what to say.

“Come on! I already got over with it! You two should too!”

Cloud and Aeris was assured with these words. They knew Tifa really meant it.

“So, you two are going on for a trip now?”

Tifa asked and Aeris answered. Tifa grabbed Aeris’s hand.

“Cloud is very hard handle you know.” Tifa said and winked to Aeris. Aeris just nodded and grimed at Cloud. Cloud face went blank and the two girls laughed.

“Enjoy yourselves.”

Tifa said and took leave. Cloud and Aeris watched as Tifa left and the two hugged each other, and then softly spoke.

“Ready for our honeymoon?”

“Yea, and I say we start from the inn nearby.”

Cloud finished and carried Aeris in his arms, with hers wrapping around his neck, and started for their hard earned honeymoon.

“Stop it, Cid...you are embarrassing me.”

Shera chuckled while Cid started fooling around with her.

“ No one will know we are here, besides, it’s dark already.”

Cid replied and continued what he was doing with Shera. The couple are under the Highwind laying down on the grass when they planned to have a night of their own. His house was way too cramped with everyone around since the 7^th Heaven haven’t finished rebuilt yet. He just need to have some time off with Shera, to improve their relationship, and to cuddle up a little. They can’t do that with everyone around in his house.

“Oh, captain...”

Shera chuckled again in the darkness. Cid parked the Highwind somewhere in the grassland outside Kalm, with no natural nor artificial light. Civilization is far away and nobody would bother to come here at night in the dark to disturb the two. This is the perfect place for the two.

“Sh...did you hear that?”

Shera spoke and pushed Cid away. Cid shook his head answered.

“It must be voices in your head.”

Shera put her finger on Cid’s lips signaling him to keep quiet. The couple went silent and then they heard footsteps from above. Someone was on the highwind.

“Someone’s stealin’ my ship!”

Cid said and pushed himself up. He listened carefully and heard it again. There is definitely someone up there.

“No...”

Shera whispered and a roaring sound was heard. It was the sound of the engine, the engine was starting!

“My god! It’s startin’ up!”

Cid shouted and ran to the side of the highwind to have a clearer look. He’s right. The propellers and spinning. The air surrounding them grew into strong wind and soon his hair was blown to mess.

“Cid! Run!”

Shera said to Cid and pulled him. Cid, half hesitating, ran away with Shera to avoid being sucked into the air when the Highwind take off. They couldn’t bear risking their lives taking it back now.

“S*&T!!!”

Cid cursed and the Highwind lifted high up in the air. Cid watched in fear as he see his beloved toy flying off into the horizon, leaving Cid stunned to the ground.

“Why you &(*&(*#)*#()*@(*)(@*)()(_((&^#!!!!”

Cid cursed at the top of his voice and Shera couldn’t make his temper go down even the little bit. Cid cursed and cursed until a paper stuck right into his face and he cursed again while reading it. Then, he realized what was happening and his temper calmed a little. He gave Shera the paper and Shera read it. It reads:

“Cloud and Aeris borrowing highwind for honeymoon. Be back by next week.”

Costa de Sol, Aeris tried on her swimsuit and really impressed Cloud.

Icicle Inn, the couple cuddled in the small house with the warmth they share while it was snowing and freezing outside.

Cosmo Canyon, they looked out at the stars so many visitors awed from the comfort in the Highwind.

Mideel, they spent their days inspiring the newly rebuilt town with the lifestream flowing around the town.

Wutai, nothing much, just looking around and enjoying the rock mountain climbs and the spectacular views from above.

Now, they have visited so many places and they have to think of a place to go or else the honeymoon is over. There is a place they really wanted to go, where it all started...

“Well, heading where pilot?”

Aeris asked Cloud and he just kept quiet with a smile on his face.

“Surprise.”

Cloud said and Aeris got into suspense. She wonder whether he would bring her to the place she longed wanted to go again, the place where she started to feel that they can be a couple...

It was already dark and nothing can be seen beyond the horizon. Aeris just leaned herself against the railing in front of the big glass window that shows the view in front of the airship. She was really impressed with this ship. She had dreamed about this ship but never she expected to take it around for pleasure. After she was revived, they only used this ship for fighting and transport purpose. Never she took time to slowly enjoy the ride of this magnificent artwork. Cid is a genius.

“This is your captain speaking. If you look right in front of you, you will see lights from the all famous...”

“Gold saucer.”

Aeris interrupted Cloud and joy was written all over her face. Cloud truly understood her. He still remembered their first date, how it all happened and all the fun they had together. Aeris was overjoyed.

“So, surprised?”

Cloud asked Aeris and she smiled back. Aeris walked over to Cloud that was piloting and wrapped her arms around his waist. She leaned her head against his shoulder and looked at the bright lights that rotate around the big saucer like building.

“Very.”

The couple really enjoyed their honeymoon.
