Chapter 3#

“Cloud, were unarmed. What are we going to do?”

“Good question.”

Jason looks around to find people hiding behind games and in any other place in the room where they hoped Sephiroth wouldn’t find them. He then looked around the corner to find John trailing not to far from Sephiroth. A smile crosses his face. “How convenient. I come looking for him and he finds me. Well, I guess its time for a certain pair of dumbasses to get their asses whipped.” He said out loud. He unsheathes the Ex-Caliber.

“Don’t be a fool. If you try to take on Sephiroth you’re going to be the only one getting his ass whipped.” Cloud shouted. Jason just smiles and shouts “TELEPORT”. He disappears. “Where did he go?” Cloud asks himself.

Jason reappears just above Sephiroth and John and manages to get a slash or two in before they can even unsheathe their swords. John try’s to counterattack with a deathblow, which is quickly blocked. Jason shouts “FIREBALL” and a ball of fire materializes in his hand, which he throws right in the face of John. Sephiroth try's to slice Jason in the head, but his move is blocked and Jason gives him a boot to the chest, sending him into the metal bar. Sephiroth goes backward on the bar and lands on his face, right in front of Cloud and Aeris, who are trying to get the hell out of there. John charges and tries a head slice, a maneuver that Jason ducks, and moves behind him. He pulls out his chain whip and hits him right in the back while saying “get along there little doggie. Yeehaw”. He then gives John a roundhouse kick as soon as he turns around. He then makes his way out of that cramped area, down the elevator and into the surrounding area, where the battle continues.

Cloud and Aeris are on the trolley.

“Cloud, who was that guy?”

“No clue.”

“Shouldn’t we go back and help him?”

Cloud hesitates. “We will go get the Highwind, go back, and pick him up. Besides, no matter how good he is, he won’t be able to keep that up for much longer.” The trolley reaches its destination. “Come on, let’s go.” They board the Highwind and start it up.

Jason is still holding up, fending them both off with ease. He is, however, getting dangerously close to the edge of that section of the Gold Saucer. He is doing fine when Sephiroth gets a slash in. This doesn’t do much damage as Jason just shouts “ULTIMATE RECOVER” and the wound disappears. He is at the edge when the Highwind shows up. “See you two silly bastards later.” he says as he jumps off and lands on the deck of the Highwind. He runs to the cockpit area and says “Move over spikes, I'm driving”. Something struck the Highwind. Jason puts his hand up to his mouth like he has a microphone and then says “this is your captain speaking, and welcome to J airlines. If you look to your right, you see Sephiroth bombing us with lightening bolts, so buckle up and hang on, we are going for a bumpy ride”. They take off out of the area.

“You can’t escape me my puppet. I’ll get you yet.”

“Who are you?” Cloud asks.

“First, who are you?”

“Cloud Strife. Ex-Shinra soldier. This is my wife Aeris Strife.”

“Charmed. My name is Jason Bosch. I travel dimensions.”

“Do you have special powers? I saw you make fireballs and disappear and reappear in different places without the use of materia.” Aeris asked.

“Those where techniques. When you’ve traveled as many dimensions as I have you pick up a couple of things along the way.”

“Can you teach me your disappearing trick?” Aeris asked.

“That’s teleport, and yes, you can learn it. I’ll teach it to you later. So Cloud, where are we headed?”

“If Sephiroth is back then we are going to need some help. We are going to Kalm to get our comrades. Taking care of Sephiroth is no easy task.”

“With me taking care of Sephiroth would be a breeze, but whatever floats your boat. Besides, I need to get to know the areas and towns of this dimension.”

“Then Kalm it is. It won’t be long before we get there.”

“Awesome.”

Not too much later they arrive just outside of Kalm, disembark the Highwind and head into town.
