| About Us |
| My current newfs (Bayley & Tide), and the rest of the family, live north of Auckland near Wellsford on our 100 acre farmlet. We are handy to the sea, and have large dams on the farm where the girls love to chase the ducks. I have owned Newfoundlands for about 14 years now, and was drawn to them by their great disposition, their strong yet cuddly appearance, and their working tradition. All of my Newfs have been active working dogs, competing in water trails, draft work and obedience, and some like Storm WRDX, have had outstanding success. Bayley has acheived her CD in obedience, and has won the Club's Most Outstanding and Supreme Working Award along with many others. I began Breed Showing with my Landseer girl Chess (Ch Windsong Bagatelle), and am currently showing BISS Ch Kristagale Blow Y'r Socks Off CD (Bayley) and her daughter Ch Stormtide Black to the Future (Tide). Over the last few years we have enjoyed great success in the show ring with Bayley Winning Best in Show at the 2003 Newfoundland Club Champ Show, and Elsa (Ch Stormtide Black at Ya) owned by Dennis Marvin going Best In Show All Breeds at Tokoroa (only the second Newfoundland bitch to do so). At the 2006 Newfoundland Club Champ Show judged by Frances Wilson, we came away with Reserve Bitch on Show & Brood Bitch in Show (Bayley), Limit in Show (Stormtide Black As - Brylee), & Open In Show (Tide). We also took the Breeders Stakes, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in Bitch Head, 1st and 3rd in movement, 1st in Coat , and 2nd in Topline. I breed mainly for myself so that I can have the type of dogs I admire to work with and to show. All bitches I breed from are hip & elbow scored, heart tested & DNA tested for cystinuria. |
