Our visit to Birch Bay, Washington

The Birch Bay Resort at sunset.

Birch Bay at sunset.

Our favorite dining experiences came from three locations. On our first night in Birch Bay,
we ordered take-out from the Birch Bay Teriyaki Cafe. They have free delivery to the resort,
but we opted to drive down and pick up the order. That way we could sip a cold beer
on the deck while watching the sunset over the bay. Not only was the food quite resonably priced,
but it was delicious as well. And, not just delicious that night, but two nights later
when we reheated it in our unit's microwave oven.

On the second night we had a craving for Chicken Souvlaki and had our cravings fully satisfied by
Contos Greek & Italian Restaurant in Blaine. That too, was a most delicious and reasonably priced meal.
And, as with the Teriyaki from the night before, it was quite tasty when reheated in the microwave back at our unit.

The third night we nuked, of course, and on Sunday morning, we went to the Inn at Semi-Ah-Moo
for Sunday Brunch. This was an incredibly satisfying meal, with champagne, and all the breakfast you could eat.
Sumptuous fruits, omelettes cooked to your exact specification, pancakes, blintzes . . . you name it, they had it.
And a dessert selection that will put 5 pounds on you just looking at it.

We heard a lot of folks raving about the Tide Flats, and maybe on our next visit we'll check it out, too.
For now, though, we're very happy that we chose the restaurants mentioned here.
