This application was dated 16 July 1901 and was rejected.  Applied a second time for a pension, 7 July 1905, while living at Water Hill in Rutherford Co., TN. He stated he fought at Battle of Shiloh, Chattanooga, Missionary Ridge, Baton Rouge and others.
