The Story so far........ The club was established in 1995 and was under the name HP Orwell. After the team gained promotion as champions of Division 3 in 1996/97, the name was changed to HP Needham Market LFC and in 1998/99 they won the treble-Premier League, League Cup and Norfolk and Suffolk Cup. The 1999/00 season saw the Ladies join forces with Stowmarket FC of the Jewson Premier League at Greens Meadow. With a change of name to Stowmarket Ladies FC and a first season in the South East Combination League came a respectful 5th place finish. In 2000/01 a change at the top with the introduction of new player/manager Ali Seymour, Stow finished 3rd in the league behind Fulham and Enfield. They also won back the Norfolk and Suffolk Cup beating Haverhill Ladies. The high spirits from the season were carried through to the Highfield Cup, to see them come runners up. Season 2001/02 saw Stow finish 2nd in the League, only losing twice, retain the Norfolk and Suffolk Cup with a convincing win against Norwich City Racers in the final, and come runners up in the League Cup............... |
