Alumnae Chapter News: 2007-2008 Membership Dues

Remember when we said 'Theta for a Lifetime'? Join the St. Paul Alumnae Chapter and continue your Theta experience. NOTHING IS REQUIRED OF YOU! As a dues paying member, you have the opportunity to be as involved as you want to be. Whether you want to be on the Board or just read the newsletter to know what is going on, the choice is all yours!!

Our dues period is March 11st, 2007 to February 28th, 2008. We appreciate your support in submitting your dues before April 15th, 2007. The Dues Levels are as follows:

  • Free First Year Alumna
  • $35 Twin Star Membership
  • $50 Black and Gold Membership
  • $1000 Golden KiteMembership

Inspirational Twin Stars

This award is a joint effort between both the Minneapolis and St. Paul Alumnae Chapters. The award is given to one alumnae member from each chapter, as well as an upper and lower classman from the Upsilon chapter at the University of Minnesota.

Winners are nominated by their Theta sisters as those who have been and continue to be an inspiration to other Thetas by their continued involvement with Kappa Alpha Theta.

Look for the next Inspirational Twin Stars winners at Founders Day 2008. If you wish to nominate anyone please send a letter stating the persons name and why you think they should win the award to Nicole Campion by Decemeber 31, 2007.

Congratulations

New Additions:

  • Carrie (Skjervan) Padget had a baby girl on May 3rd. Elise Skjervan Padget was 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
  • Nicole (Mohns) Campion gave birth to a baby girl on August 8th. Emily Sophia was born 6 lbs 10 oz and 20 3/4 inches long.

Happy 1st Anniversary:

  • Katey (Hoffman) Harms was married to Ryan in September 2006.
  • Mikki (Manahi) Hahn was married to Joshua in October 2006.

Pansy Bouquets:

"Pansy Bouquets" are acknowledgements of St. Paul Alumnae for something special that you have done. It can be anything, from thanking someone for all of their hardwork, to congratulating them on a promotion at work. Greeting Cards Available:

Homemade cards are the new craze, if you would like to gat a set of 5 greeting cards, mail a check for $10 to Tain Bialek at 1611 Western Ave N, St. Paul, MN 55117. All proceeds will benefit the El Salvador Friends of the Orphans orphanage.

Greeting Card Club:

If anyone is interested in starting a card club that meets monthly, email us.

Timeshare for Rent:

Anyone looking to vacation in Maui, Hawaii? Contact Gina Lemon if interested.

It is available now through the end of June 2008! The only weeks that are off limits would be the week of Christmas and New Year's week. It is a one bedroom with a full out couch. I have included the link so you can see the property.

We will rent this out to the first person who can secure 1/2 of the payment now and the other 1/2 before you leave. We are looking at renting it out for the LOW, LOW, price of $100/night = $700 for the week. This will be the lowest price that you will find on the island.
