Your Christian Rock Music News, as reported on our September 14th broadcast:

Delirious? prepare for World Service!

What do the BBC and pre-eminent praise and worship band Delirious have in common? Other than a love of fine music, both share the name of the new Delirious CD, “World Service” The new album is named after an internationally broadcast BBC program that reports on global events. And according to the members of Delirious, the moniker also reflects their desire to serve the world with their music. Recording is now complete, but the band is still hard at work mixing the album with New Zealander Sam Gibson, who has collaborated with such mainstream artists as Crowded House. Lucky UK fans attending summer festivals this year got a free CD with a rough mix of the new song 'Majesty' - a song which may or may not be one of the two free MP3 singles that Delirious? is planning to release on Oct. 1st and Nov. 1st.

L.A. Symphony and Gotee Records

L.A. Symphony has finally got a break. And no, we aren’t referring to the broken tape decks they rapped about on their 2001 single of the same name. The independent hip hop favorites Gotee Records have finalized a Christian market distribution agreement with Gotee Records. Basement Records will release their debut, the long awaited “The End is Now” on December 2. Included in the album’s 16 tracks will be the songs 'Here to Party' and 'One Of A Kind,' which are exclusive to the Gotee version of the release. Flynn of L.A. Symphony said quote, 'We know a lot of the people that work at Gotee, and over the years they have been really supportive of us. We consider it an honor to be able to work on this debut with them' unquote. A word of warning to long time fans: This is a brand-new album and bears no relation to the group's unreleased 2001 project from which the single 'Broken Tape Decks' was released.
