| That's All Folks... Well, I'm sure it could have been assumed a while back, but yes, I have opted to pull the plug on the site. I'll try to sum this up as best as I can. It's about the music. It just doesn't grab me anymore. The songs no longer stand out to me at all, lyrically or musically. There are no songs that jump out and remind me why I loved Pete so much in the first place. I havent recently thought to myself, "hey, I could really go for listening to musicforthemorningafter now." It just hasnt done anything for me in a long time. I'm not saying that I'll never listen to Pete again because that would be a lie. He's an incredibly talented musician who brought me close to many people. But keep in mind, with the music not keeping me interested, what was to keep me around as a Pete fanatic (a.k.a Yornaholic)? As it turns out, not much. During this time in which I was losing interest in Pete I was discovering hundreds of other bands that had completely captivated me. My musical tastes were growing and changing, rapidly...they still are. I'm not going to get "preachy" and give you a list of bands I like better than Pete now, but it's safe to say my fading obsession with Pete was replaced with these other artists that gave me the feeling that he used to. Regarding the site, I began feeling like it just wasn't worth it anymore. I'm doing exactly what other sites are doing, and other sites are doing everything this site does; when I don't really love the musician I'm supporting anymore, my site's content is no longer original. You Pete fans are in good hands tho...if you scroll up and look to your left you will find a link to many more Pete pages, the majority of which are better than mine. I will also keep up the stories that everyone has submitted. They're great stories that capture the discovery of new music...hopefully any new Pete fans who happen to stumble upon this site can relate to those tales. To close, I want to thank everyone who has ever helped me out with the site (there were plenty of you), as well as everyone that ever visited. It's been one amazing trip... ~Traci |
