Strathroy Skating Club Club Rules and Regulations 2005-2006 1. SAFETY IS FIRST - first and foremost on and off the ice 2. All skaters must have adult supervision present during their ice times, regardless of skater's age, other than a pro. 3. Be on time and leave ice promptly when your session is finished. 4. No food, gum, or drink is allowed on the ice. 5. Helmets for our beginners are at the discretion of the parents but are strongly recommended. 6. No scarves or other loose clothing to be worn on the ice. 7. At no time are parents/guardians allowed on the ice due to insurance reasons. 8. No profane language is to be used in the dressing rooms, on the ice, or in any other area of the arena. 9. No smoking on the premises. 10. Men are not permitted in the girls dressing rooms and ladies are not permitted in the boys dressing rooms. 11. Always be courteous to fellow skaters and coaches, observe ice etiquette. 12. Standing and visiting on the ice is not allowed. 13. Jeans are not permitted on the ice for coaching. 14. Please leave valuables at home. We are not responsible for lost/damaged/stolen items. 15. When attending outside club events, remember, you are representing our Club and community. Conduct yourself accordingly. 16. All skaters must adhere to the above rules and regulations as well as club etiquette policies or membership may be revoked. Ice Etiquette for Skaters 1. SAFETY IS FIRST - Be responsible, be aware, watch around you. 2. Spin in the centre of the ice. 3. Jumps are done at the ends of the ice. 4. Yield to skaters in a lesson. 5. Yield to skaters doing their program with music. 6. Music is prioritized on a first come, first served basis except when requested by coaches for a lesson. 7. Treat fellow skaters as equals - with courtesy and respect at all times. |
