What’s new for 2005-2006 * A special guest workshop by John Briscoe for Strathroy Skating Club registrants. * Separate Synchro Skating Team * Festival Skating Competition – more information to follow * Club Cookbook Recipe Tasting Night * Ice Show * Family Spaghetti Night and Silent Auction * New Bond, Fundraising and Good Faith Policy Change As our bingo revenue has ceased due to the closure of Bingo Country we are faced with the dilemma of finding other creative ways to create revenue in order to be able to still offer affordable skating programs for our community. In order to do this, we will be requiring each skater to be responsible for a specific amount of fundraising depending on which program you are enrolled in. You will have two specific fundraisers to do as well as other opportunities from which to choose. As well, there will be opportunities to volunteer at events or possibly work bingos. Please note, it is your responsibility to arrange and complete the fundraising obligation and/or volunteer work prior to the deadlines given or your cheque will be cashed. FUNDRAISING: One cheque for each skater is to be submitted with registration. Cheque is for selling Skate Canada lottery tickets and chocolates. Each family will receive one lottery book per family and 1 box of chocolates per skater. Monies are recovered when sold. BOND CHEQUE: Each family is required to participate in a specific amount of fundraising depending on the program chosen. You will be given choices for fundraising, as long as you fulfill your obligation by the required date you will receive your cheque back. Partial sales receive partial cheques back. GOOD FAITH CHEQUE: Levels 4,5, & 6 require a Good Faith cheque for volunteer hours and/or bingos should we be able to participate later in the season. When your commitment is fulfilled your cheque will be returned. |
