-Review for GoldenEye 007-

My ratings:

Graphics/Details: 8
Sound: 7
Difficulty: 10
Overall: 10

GoldenEye 007 is a great game (everybody knows that).Since its the subject of my website I have decided to write a review on it.

Graphics/Details

The graphics on GE are pretty good. Most of the objects on the game have a clean texture and look OK for a game that came out in '96/'97. I especially like the details and graphics that kick in when you blow up a filing cabinet or shoot a labratory beaker. Most objects in the game blow up or shatter when you shoot them, so thats not exactly a wide variety of affects, but atleast they do something. I aslo like the details put into the making of the weapons in GE. Almost all weapons have a different recoil or trail of smoke or fire when the weapons are shot off. I like how you can watch the rocket shell shoot out of the launcher and can follow it all the way to its target. I dont like how when you shoot a guy in the head, chest, leg, etc. it makes the same little "flash of light" I guess, when the bullet hits the body as a door or wall. It should be a different affect. Thats about all I have to say about the graphics.

Sound

I rated the sound 7. It is very detailed when you shoot props or items but some of the weapons have the same sound when you shoot them off. The could of put a little bit more detail in it. You probally know what I'm talking about if you've noticed that the Phantom and the KF7 Soviet sound exaly the same. The same goes with a couple other of weapons. I do like the sound of the Throwing Knife and the RC-P90. All of the gadgets have good sound affects when you use them so I have no negative comment on those. The explosions sound the same but that doesn't bug. I noticed the sound affect is different if you shoot a metal door or a wooden door. That's detailed. Overall the sound is high quality.

Difficulty

There's nothing wrong with the difficulty and there also isn't much to say about it. Like most games you can choose the difficulty level and as your skill grows you can choose a differnt difficulty setting. Get ting good at the game is rewarding because all the hard work you put into perfecting your skill can count towards earning cheats. The difficulty pleases players of all skill levels.

Overall

Its GoldenEye. Come on! It deserves nothing less than 10. If you don't own this game go buy it. Its a well made game.
