Fishing Trip

It was time to hang up the body armour and take to the high seas for a bit of long line fishing on the flemish cap. Although we never saw or caught any Swordfish we did meet a nasty little blighter called a Red Gurnard that had more spines that a hedgehog and looked well hard. We mainly used ragworm and strips of fish for bait with the odd bit of ground bait thrown in by Danny who will never go on the keg before a fishing trip again, SUCKER.

Side drummer ready

The drummy kicks it all off with a cracking brace of macks.

He brought this one with him

Danny catches his first ever fish and i think that was foul hooked.

Pot Guru

Soon the fish were being landed thick and fast.

I waited 4 hours for these monsters

This is what a fish finger looks like before it gets battered.

I don't remeber eating that

Time for a bit more ground bait to go in, "cheers Danny".

This should impress the ladies

The Q bloke hauls aboard a sea snake, well thats what he said it was.

Why are my fingers all the same length?

Andy was unsure if this was bait or his catch.

This was knot funny.

So at what point do we get hammered?

Time for a breather whilst the knot is sorted out.

The Q bloke continues to fill the boat with his massive haul.

There is somthing fishy going on here

At the end of the day there was spew everywere and a boat load of fish, now lets get back to dry land and "hang one on".
