The Romanian army during World War One

The first world war has been remembered mostly due to the large battles of attrition fought on the west front. I have observed that virtually all sites and documentaries are focused nearly exclusively on the action on the west . Yet, the east front has seen its more than share of action and millions of soldiers were engaged on both sides.

Unfortunately, the contribution of the Romanian army has largely been neglected even by those authors who did remember that there was an east front as well, so little or nothing is known about the struggle and sacrifices of the 800.000 Romanian soldiers ( including the 300000 men which made the ultimate sacrifice ) . I hope that my small contribution will help make sure that their story will not be forgotten.
