Rosa Blasi on Sunday, January 5, 2003 (#2309) Hello everyone! And a very Happy New Year. We finished filming (our 66th!) episode, and last show of the 3rd season on Dec. 16th. We return to begin filming 4th season April sometime. As far as giving away our season finale? You're nuts! I wouldn't dare. And I TRULY have no idea what in the world will happen next season because I can never get anything out of the writers. Sooooo, Thank you for all my nice birthday messages! Your attention does not go unnoticed, and is appreciated. I had a quiet Christmas in Chicago with my family, and a Dick Clark New Years in Indiana with my boyfriend. I wish everyone safety and health and their best year yet! Enjoy the rest of the new episodes, as I have a sneaking suspicion you will!!!!! Love, rosa Rosa Blasi on Sunday, March 2, 2005(#2657) An interesting message from Dr. Lu....to you! HELLO! I am going to be at one of those giant Lifetime booth-extravaganzas on Sunday March 9, at Long Islands' Roosevelt Field Mall in the afternoon. I will be answering questions, meeting fans, and signing pictures. So if any of you are on the East coast... I am enjoying my time off (sorry, but true :) Rosablasi.com has been updated a little, I have some publicity photo shoots coming up, and an appearance on Pyramid March 17, with one of my best friends Kristin Datillo from the Chris Iasack show (if thats how you spell his last name even). Otherwise, I am planning a wedding for mid February in Maui. Yep! You are the first (besides some family, close friends, and of course the Strong Medicine family) to hear. I figured, before it came out in some other press, my loyal fans deserved to hear the good news. I will update you as always as life unfolds... Love, rosa PS. I am getting older-foggy-memory-sydrome, but did I ever acknowledge to you how AWESOME and breathtaking that pink album you collaborated for my birthday? I recieved it after I returned to Los Angeles (I was out of the state in Indiana at the time) and I just wanted to make sure you all know, I KNOW how much effort goes into something like that. Rosa Blasi on Monday, June 9, 2003 (#3415) Rosa checking in! Hello! I have not been as excited for an episode to air since second season episode 19 Rape Kit. Nor have I worked so hard on an episode since. But in less than a week if you can believe it 4th season airs as you know! I am at work, and we are working on our 6th episode already. Phil Casnoff is directing the next one by the way! I just had to pick up the script and check actually. Cranking out 22 a season gets confusing and tends to be a big blur. I am obviously busy working Monday-Friday. Yesterday, Jim, my fiance' and I worked at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids carnival benefit. I actually met a woman, Melissa, a fan of SM, who had received a blood transfusion when she was only 7 DAYS old. She has been living with HIV since. It's been 21 years and she is the longest living with the disease on record. I was floored. In honor of the 4th season premiere and you guys being such great fans, I would love to answer a few questions you may have for me, info that you can not find on the internet. (In other words "what other shows have you done?" can be found on the internet.) I will read them and post after the Sunday show airs. Either Sunday or Monday. In the past as I have read all your posts a question here or there may pop out at me but it would be weird to answer one random question so here is my solution. I warn you, I know NOTHING about episodes we haven't shot yet. Tammy keeps the stories lines and what is going to happen so secret you wouldn't believe! Looking forward to "talking" to you! Love and gratitude, Rosa Rosa Blasi on Sunday, June 15, 2003 (#3594) Rosa Q & A Okay here goes! How long SM will last? Good question! We have to see how this season goes but you truly never know! I have signed on for 6 years total(2 more) but that doesn't mean the show may necessarily last 6 seasons. It is a total time gamble and I am merely a pawn in the mix. I don't even know what countries we are in unless I see it on the fan mail envelopes! My getting married will not interfere with the show at all. Plus it will be in the off season in February. What is the most important thing to me? Easy! My family. and I include Jim in that of course. I have been REALLY blessed by having two great parents I am insanely close with. They are still married and living in the same house I was raised in since I was under a year old! The older I get the more and more I appreciate all they have done for me and how I was raised. I can only HOPE I do half as good with my own children someday (2 preferably). Jim was "worth the wait" I actually made a list of all the important qualities I wanted in my future husband. I had this list in my day planner for years, and kept adding to it. When I met him I gave him the list. He had every quality on it except one. He wasn't "over 30" my sister Tasha saw the list and added that one! Before him I was the queen of dating guys for their potential! Now I am an advocate for DATING GUYS YOU DONT HAVE TO CHANGE WHO DESERVE YOU! One of my favorite things to hear about Jim is that he "is a good guy" who has "warm eyes". His parents have also been married over 30 years. He too, is very close with his family and sister and I think that says a ton about a person and who they are. My pet peeve in any shape or form or hint is DISHONESTY. I have ended several friendships and relationships because some people have a problem with being honest. It is something I can not understand or fathom, like racism. I just don't understand the concept and it infuriates me. I on the other hand could learn to keep my mouth shut, but I appreciate and respect the truth over the "what you want to hear" any day of the week. I value honesty above all. My dream is to do feature films. This may suprise you but I tend to lean towards comedy. And if I could do a musical and incorporate my singing roots? even cooler! I LOVE when there is a little hint of something funny in the SM scripts and directed a sketch comedy group last year that performed in an L.A. theatre and I just miss it. The ultimate goal is to have choices. A luxury very few actors have of course, but that is my goal. To decide on scripts that are offered to me. Even typing that last sentence was a dream! ahhhh! Funny SM moments...remember the blonde girl that played the weird cult girl last season who was accused of murdering her last baby and was pregnant again (and in jail)and I delivered her baby and they wanted to take it away for fear that she would kill it? The actresses name is Kristin Datillo and she is a regular on the Chris Issack show and she is one of my best friends in real life. She was on Hitz with me back in 97' as well. Anyway I love Kris and her having to play a very religious culty freak had us in tears of laughter most of the episode. I had to pretend I was looking in her eyes and staring at the middle of her forhead so I wouldn't laugh. During the birthing scene (just because I could) I taped the script onto her biker shorts (that is what the actors wear when they are "giving birth" on the show under their hospital gowns for modesty) and I put the script proped up right where it would embarrass her the mostand no one else would see it but me. And of course where I had to look during the scene. Use your imagination. If she wasn't such a close friend this would never have happened but we had a good laugh. Another lighter note about being on the set are the ridiculous post it notes Josh Cox leaves around to make me laugh. Rosa Blasi on Sunday, June 15, 2003 (#3597) Continued.... Becuase we are in an enviorment all the time together we keep it light, we are all very close crew and cast and we try and make each other laugh or smile unless the scence call for respecting the fact that one actor may have to cry or do something difficult. I hope I have given you all a small glimpse into things, and I hope you enjoy what unfolds this 4th season! Once again, I am grateful for your devotion and I appreciate your fandomship. Yes, I just invented that word. I look forward to "talking" to you soon, (and I mean it, because you know how much I distain untruth!;) Love, Rosa Rosa Blasi on Monday, November 10, 2003 (#4460) Hello! From the almost last day of season 4!!! Tomorrow we finish shooting our 88th episode and end of season FOUR! I can hardly believe that as I write that sentence. It has been a good year, with really great solid #1 ratings to boot! Thanks to all of you of course. We have had the great delight of working with Grant Show in the final 3 episodes of this season. Most of you may remember him from his role as "Jake" on Melrose Place. He is a great and funny guy who I am sure you will love as an addition to our cast. As far as how long? Who knows! We haven't even been officially told if we will have a next season or not yet, and apparently we may not even know until NEXT YEAR! ughhh the suspense! So we finish, and we wait, and hope for the best. I am busy flying EVERY weekend to New Jersey to be with Jim, and watch the Giants play. However, next week I am actually going to be living out there until the end of football season whenever that is. January? It will be a nice break from the weekly plane rides to say the least. Also, of course continuing to plan the wedding that will take place in February. By the way, I think the DVD idea is a really great one! Add my name to that list! I hope you all are enjoying what the cast crew and producers of SM have been doing this year, and that the finale is just as intriguing! Again, thank you for your unbelievable support and "fandom" (new word...just invented) Have a really great and SAFE Holiday Season! Love, Rosa |
