So, at this point, both Byron and Mr. Brown were bleeding to death on the dingy hotel floor. When this occurred (and I'm being completely objective here, with no bias in what I type), Jesse 2, to everyone's surprise, began to complain. Quite a bit. Even after everyone else had left the house. Apparently, being impaled after being gnawed on by a giant ant would NOT account for someone being 90% dead. And, also according to Jesse, even if a character were that close to death's door, blood loss, trauma, shock, pain, and general malaise should not affect said character adversely enough to prevent him from strolling cheerfully out the door with nary a care in the world. (rolls eyes) Anyway... At this point, an alien being, on a whim, took over Summet's thoughts and actions. At least, I assume that's what happened, since that is the only logical explanation for why he did a good deed at that moment. A reluctant deed, perhaps, but a deed nontheless. He used Mr. Brown's wrist phone to call up Doc Wagon which, eventually, arrived to haul away the two bloody, writhing lumps of meat that were Byron and Brown. In their infinite kindness, Doc Wagon agreed to give Summet a ride back to wherever they had come from. Then they began treating the two patients, as Summet left to pray for his friends' health alone. This process probably involved going to a bar and drinking until he passed out. A few days of this go by until all three ran into each other again at the building. Summet was getting pissed off at Byron for continually showing up where, and at the same time as, Summet and Brown were. An intimidation-oriented interrogation session began, and was shortly thereafter thwarted by Byron's clear grasp of the logic of what could be the same dimension to which Jesse II continually focuses his attention, since it doesn't make any sense to either of the other two at the table. Summet, frustrated, told Byron to leave, and never to come back. UNDER PENALTY OF DEATH!!!! MWAHAHA! Or maybe not. I forget. Either way, Byron wandered off down the street and out of sight. At this point, the characters' paths diverged for a while, taking up several hours of group/GM time. In respect for paranoia on several of the players' parts, I'm not going to say exactly what happened then. I will, however, describe what all the characters do know. If the three characters reach a level of mutual respect and comfort with each other, then I will describe what happened at this and other points. Although it's not very hard to figure out exactly what happened, there are some interesting details I have to leave out now. And so, rather than focusing on each other quite so much, let's move on to the real (as far as the three characters are concerned) antagonists. |
