What did we do next

More dancing, of course! (: The big mikoshi struck up the same songs, and the same ladies all did the same three dances. (:  But it was still fun to watch. Soon we were carrying the mikoshi off, again, though!

Remember those black boxes next to the  mikoshi?  And how they are for donations?  Well, as we paraded down the street, people sitting in their 'tents' along the way would call us over to donate monies.  Below, the Junior High girls are accepting a donation from some women.

And above, Tomiyo is thanking some of the donators to the Ladies' Group by sweeping them with the huge fan each mikoshi group has!  The 'fanners' would use them on the poor mikoshi carriers, too--it was really hot out!

So THIS time, we headed to the harbor, where all these fishermen whom we were celebrating worked!

Here's the big mikoshi, bringing up the rear of our parade.

Because it was just that lovely, I got some shots while we were at the harbor.  To the right, I was looking out into the bay, where below, I had turned around (with my back to the bay) to get a shot of the mountains that nestle Numazu against the ocean.  It's really a beautiful city!  The scenery is amazing here.
