After the museum we went back to the hotel and watched some TV, had some diner. The next morning we went and explored the famed 'Akihabara Electic Neighborhood', where apparently you can buy any electronic goods for amazing prices. We didn't find much that we really wanted, though... so we walked away empty-handed. |

We found some great anime and comic stores, though and bought lots of little toys we didn't need. (: We checked out the 'book neighborhood' too, but it was mostly novels and textbooks, so not much we could enjoy. We had lunch in the area and then went back to the Metro Bulding so I could take pictures.... (: |

known buildings there because it is a little unusual. It kind of looks like a big ship, doesn't it? Above is the outside, and to the left is the inside. It was late in the evening, so it was rather quiet there, but still a really neat building to see. So we wandered around it for a bit, then decided to head back to Ueno. As we were walking through the station, we were looking for someplace to eat, and came across a Hard Rock Cafe! So we decided to check it out. It was my first 'Hard Rock experience' too. (: Pretty tasty dinner.
After that, we went to a really big bookstore in Shibuya to buy some books we saw earlier but had decided not to buy. (: I got a few more Japanese comics in English to show the kids at school. |

Jeremy's flight was at about 3, so we wanted to be at the airport by 1, which meant leaving the Tokyo area by around 11, so we didn't have a lot of time today for much of anything. We tried to find our way to Tokyo University, but it proved harder than we thought and we ended up only seeing Tokyo Medical and Dental University. : P We checked out Akihabara again, but still walked away with nothing... Jeremy snapped this photo over the bridge near the University, looking to the north of Tokyo. What a beautiful day, huh?
Then we hurried off to the airport; local trains to the Tokyo Station, then the "Narita Express" to the airport, and then shuffling through the huge thing to get to the departure gate. We got there a bit after 1:30, I think... but Jeremy got on the plane just fine.... ): |

I stood and watched him make his way through the line for as long as I felt I could... I would have stayed there until he disappeared... but I was worried about my ride home, since I was hoping to take a special bus service. So I tore myself away and went and asked about the bus. Turns out I had about 30 minutes, so I stopped at the McDonalds there becuase I was starving, then I made my way to the bus stop, all the time thinking that I was so close to him, being in the same building and all, but so far away somehow... Ah, boo hoo, huh? So depressing. (:
My bus showed up a bit later, and I think I slept and listened to my CDs for the three hour ride home. Then I walked back to my apartment from the station and did who-knows-what. But it wasn't exciting. (: |

And there you have it! The end of my story of "Jeremy's 3 week visit to Japan!"
Sorry it took so long to get everything up! This webpage caretaker job is harder than I thought, sometimes!
Thanks for stopping by! The angry bison, as always, will show you the way "home"! |
