T'BELL

Hello there, can you please tell us everything about your band T´Bell? (I don´t know anything about your band, except the following excellent 6 songs I got on tape: "Do Ya", "I Wanna Remember", "It´s Only Love", "Refugee", "I Wanna Know Bout Love" and "Foolish Love").

The whole idea of T´BELL started back in the late 80´s. Par(a friend of ours) was working at a record company in Skara and told me about Patrik Tibell, who was working there as a studio engineer. He was also known for beeing the singer of a local band called TRACE. Besides writing almost all their material he wrote a lot of material of his own - and some of these songs Par got the opportunity to listen to - and told me that this was some of the most excellent AOR-songs he have ever heard..... At this time I was working as a stdio- and session musican and actually met Patrik when we were doing a TV show together. He played some of these songs for me back then and I also got blown away by his songs. We said to each other that we had to work together in the studio in the near future, but as we worked with a lot of projects at that time it turned out to take 10 years to fullfill our plans about playing together.... We started out making new version of the old songs, with no real plan of releasing any of it. But the songs even this time ended up with Par and he talked us into making more out of thematerial, which almost had been put away for 15 years!!!!! And so we did - so what you have heard is the demo we made, which lead us to sign with the German record company AOR HEAVEN.

I just heard a demo tape of your band and I can only say to you congratulations, because the songs on this tape sounded excellent. Pure 80´s AOR! Can you tell us when we can expect a CD of your band.

We are right now finishing the last parts of the forthcoming album "REPLAY", which is planned to be released in July. It will contain 12 songs written between 82-95 and could be described as a pure 80´s styled AOR album.
Besides me and Patrik the musicians on the album are studio musicinas specially picked by Patrik to get the best possible result of the songs and getting that special sound and style we were looking for. We really hope that you will be as satisfied as we are with the album.

About the CD, are the songs on the tape included and can you tell us about any more songs. Are they in the same style as the songs on your tape?

Yes, except for the song "I Wanna Know Bout Love" that we didn´t record to this album. The whole CD is Pure 80´AOR that you heard on the demo tape. You will find tracks like "Take Me Tonite", "Always Pretending", "Lies In Disguise" and "Send Her A Letter" to mention few.

I couldn´t believe my eyes when I first heard your demo tape, pure 80´s AOR with many hooklines and keyboards, little like TOTO at their best, but who wrote these great songs?

All the songs are written by our vocalist Patrik Tibell and he has produced and arranged everything on this album.

And which bands influenced you?

ELO, TOTO, AIRPLAY and the great AOR stuff that David Foster produced in the 80´s.

So basically, what are the plans for the next coming months??

First of all getting the album out and hopefully a release in Japan. Then we are gonna start writing some new songs.
