Hi as you may have heard having a few technical probs so here's the lowdown so far....

San Francisco:
An absolute blast........we did loads and saw amazing stuff, The golden Gate Bridge, walked over and swa dolphins swimming in the bay beneath.
Alcatraz was fab.  We sat on the steps of the rec' yard a la Clint Eastwood.  It was a creepy yetutterly stunning and shall now be named alcaCAZ.
Picked up the car and drove round the streets up and down those hills...another film reference being Bullet, unfortunately we were in a NISSAN SENTRA and Stu doesn't look anything like Steve McQueen............
Oh we arrived at the station and got one of those trams to the hotel, we arrived in New York 2 Years ago in a yellow cab and we arrived in San Fran in a Tram.....Ya cant beat this kinda life..........
Napa Valley:
Me being me and Stu being Stu we headed north towards the wine region, to sample some wine...yet another film reference ......Sideways style.  It was a gorgeous part of California and the first time we have camped in the woods.  Yes Bears do "DO" it there......
You realise and as you can tell from above that all your knowledge of the USA comes from the movies and so visions of axe murderers, strange locals and scenes from a certain film "squeal little piggy" often come to mind.  However so far, so not dead.........
Then we moved onto
Lassen Volacnic Park
Much friendlier/busier campsite, KOA to be exact, thanks Kate for the recommendation.  We had a fab time looking at Lava pits and Stu climbing 30degree angle mountains (mad fool, glad my knee hurts from walking in San Fran')
Saw loads of Chipmunks and woodpeckers everywhere, which is very cool.  Found out a sad thing about Stu, he has never seen the Chipmunk cartoon, so thought i was insane when i was singing "Alvin Simon, Theodore....do...do.dododod"  Amazing the things you learn about your loved one on a trip like this.
Currently we are in sunny Yosamite (can never spell that) and hopefully Stu can sort out the page n stuff.   HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASSY FOR LAST WEEK.   HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM FOR TOMORROW, WE LOVE YA LOADS.
Hope Saul is well by the way, and everything went as planned, Cassy, Mike and Georgia xxxx

Spent so much time trying to sort the pweb site out I now have no time to say anything! Everything is brilliant over here - if a little exhausting... well we new it wasn't a relaxing holiday! A couple of highlights:

Driving up and down the streets of San Fran.
Climbing cinder cone in Mt Lassen national park.
Alcatraz.
Watching the Full moon rise up over the mountains while sitting on top of Sentinal Dome (360 deg view, 8500ft up!)... and hiking back down in the moon light!
Hiking up to Navada falls in Yosimite National Park... tiring eh caz!
And loads and loads more....... can't believe we're only 2 and a half weeks in!

Hope everyone is well.... and I'm sooooooo glad we did this!!!

will put some pics up as soon as we can find someone nice enough to allow us - the Comfort Inn in Bishop California wont....
I wrote loads t'other day so i'll keep this like me, short and sweet.....
Seeing the full moon rise in front and the sun set behind was incredible.  we had to trek through about 12.5 miles of forest to get to see it but it was worth it.  As it got darker and darker my mind, as usual started turning to Bears and axe murderers, there were loads of people up there but still.......we trekked back with a guy from north carolina called robert who was your typical american hillbilly male.  He was very cool and spoke to me through stu.  Dont want the lille lady getin ideas now do we...........
Viva Las Vegas on Tuesday, let the gambling and tackiness begin.  Cant wait to find some Elvis memoribillia for my dear big brother.......uh hbuh huh..thank yuou very much!!!!!
