New month - getting closer and closer...... Had a great time in Oxford over the weekend at Steve's stag do... met some great guys. First time in Oxford - it's superb! We went punting down a river - never thought I'd get round to doing that! It was great fun... TG and Dom are both ex-students of Oxford University and made great guides! They showed us around some amazing buildings - including one that wasn't open to the public - special treatment for being ex-students!..... It was all very civilised - but we did all end up steaming drunk - as you'd expect.... looking forward to the wedding.... Well I've been doing more boring but necessery tasks - Build fence next the conservatory and bought a new mobile... very tasty - has camera so we should be able to send a few pics when the networks allow. Booked hotel in Heatrow for the night before and have also booked National Express from Wales for the journey down - ah well might as well start getting use to busses!!!!!!! 2 weeks until i'll be carless - eeeeekkkkk!!!! Now... what colour to paint the living room...... Cari is extremely busy at work so I wouldn't expect much text on her side for a while.... |
AHA! Never say i will not do something, the natural rebel inside comes out, so i'm going to write twice as much as normal!!!!!!!!!!! Just had arts festival at work and tomorrow is City Sports. Me and Pip looking after the team and hurling abuse at students from other schools, cant wait!!!! Kelly on time keeping and after saturday night (her b'day BBQ) I hope she can count (loads of brain cells died that night) well i'm just wainting for school to end.........longgggggggggggterm. Fence gone up...OH MY GOD, only been waiting 2 years so that's progress, our neighbour (a copper) is away so Stu can flirt his tools around his driveway without the fear of the fuzz coming up behind!!! Other than that no update, me busy busy busy. Will do something more constructive when school has ended. oooohh my spanish est muy bien. Hasta Luego. Tengo una reserva, una bocadillio de queso por favor etc etc etc etc HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE GALLAGHER FOR TOMORROW, HOPE YOU LIKE YOUR CARD. |

Wey Hey - What a day yesterday!!!! 9:30 Bob and I were in Alton Towers. By 11am we were accelerated to 100mph in 2.5 seconds! What a ride!!!!! It was well worth queuing over an hour in about 35C..... shame they've given their new ride the worst name for a ride ever - RITA...... yes, Rita. What were they thinking? Got home at 5:30, quickly got changed and by 6pm I was in the classroom having my first diving lesson!! 9pm I was at the bottom of Moor ways swimming pool having a great time - and the best news of all - my ears were totally fine!!! No problem equalizing! So what a day... now back to the grind. Mmmmm. Gunna go and pack some more boxes to take up the my parent's house... Only got my car for 4 more days!!!!!!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. It's been over 12 years since I haven't owned a car - it's gunna hurt. |

7 weeks to go!!!!!!!! Friends leaving do will def be on 6 August. Cari's leaving do for work was last night - so we're feeling a little rough. Had a great night, loads of people lots of crazy dancing.... the usual. Well my car has gone... BoooHooo... already annoying.. going to be quite tricky for me and caz to juggle everything we need to do with just one car - but hey it's for a good cause!! Steve and Clairs wedding next Saturday - really looking forward to it - so we've been down town today buying new shoes for caz and shirts for me.... the usual wedding stuff. And as always after being down into Derby city centre, it makes me want to leave the country right now!!!!! Made contact with Steady - looks like he can make it to our friends leaving party - so that's brilliant news... hopefully everyone else can. |
Hello again!!! So my last week as a teacher.....for now. As you all may remember the last week of term is a mixture of pointless quizzes, teachers forcing you to take displays down/tidy their rooms and crap films such as Labyrinth and Grease 2. Feeling strange about leaving a job. Last time I left a job with no other job to go to I was 17, and i'd just been fired/walked out from McDonalds. Feels slightly different. I managed to buy shoes (interestingly enough). And yes shopping in Derby makes you want to run off the face of the earth and feel your lungs fall out of your throat. Small town, need to escape. So the car was dropped off on friday and then i had my leaving party with Cat, Debs, Linda and Kelly, which was cool, J v funny, got turned down by a man!!!!!"have you seen my tattoo" (heheheheheh) Just packed up clothes that i wont need and stu has worked like a demon painting and sorting the spare room, trust the house to look really good just before we leave. Gonna be a strange week, especially with us being a 1 car family (at least it gets stu up in a morning) although we haven't had a good nights sleep for a week having wierd dreams and mind always occupied with the trip. Enough already, leave work, wedding, christening then time with mum, dad, karl and family...so it may be a while. c u soon xxxxxxxxx |

. Is it me or do they look really old? |
Yes Cari - we do look really old. That's because we are. Had another diving lesson tonight - good fun, went well.... just can't wait to see something more interesting than Moorways pool. All I want is to be able to put my head on my pillow and not think about about our trip!!!! It's kept me awake now for two nights running...... Actually it's not so much the travelling bit it's all the stuff that comes before that's stressing me out...... moving our stuff, saying goodbye to everyone, newton.... I reckon it'll be so much easier once we're on the road......... |

HETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! House pretty much ready for moving...... bleeding hell - soooo much stuff to find a box for... Cari's last day tomorrow!!!! Can't believe it's that time already... REALLY EXCITED today... makes a change from just been scared. It's amazing - the rollercoaster of emotions that we're going through, my stomach does about 50 flips per day. The thought of saying good bye to everyone is truelly upsetting now... don't know how I'm going to handle it..... But must remember - it's always possible to speak to someone - when ever needed... Have a look at the scan of Mandy (my sister) and Simon's baby below.... going to miss him/her being born - one of the hardest things to deal with..... but hey the baby won't even be a year before I get to see him/her... reckon its a boy though... |

You'll have to keep up with this entry...... Friday: Last day at school, was a bit crazy, Vanessa worked out that i had been at Murray Park for a quarter of my life so it felt a bit strange walking out of the doors for the last time. Came home and Stuey (you'll notice when he's in my good books he's Stuey and not Stu) put balloons and confetti stars all over the dining room (which the day before he cleaned like a demon bless him) had some champers and then went to bed to prepare for the wedding..... Saturday: Steve and Claires big day. Looking good in the outfit lent from Same (thank you sam, said in a derek acorah fashion) and Stuey (still in good books) wearing his suit that could fit me in it (lots of weight loss since the last suit outing). A fantastic day Claire looked amazing and Steve looked like...... well....... Steve........ in a morning suit. Had great fun and stayed in the weirdest hotel room on earth. Had to behave because next day....... Sunday: Christening. Me and Stuey (still being nice) went to Church......yes church......church.............church. WOW, very strange, anyhoo my beautiful Niece Elysia Rose Sullivan was christened and we had a party afterwards. The party was great and I got to see my Auntie Pauline and Uncle Dave for the first time in ages, it was lovely to see them. I also saw my cousin Emma and her hubby Andi and her little girls, they were much better behaved in the church than me and Stuey. Me and Stuey stayed another night and he polished off several bottles of vino blanco with my father and then went home to go diving. I stayed on and went shopping with Bren (mum) in Rochdale. Rochdale is like Derbys younger chavier brother. I have never seen as many mobile phone shops in my life. Monday (today): Yvette (mum to Elysia and suffering wife of my deadly destructive force of a brother) was a star and brought me home with her mum Wendy (Thank You) It's hard being a one car family. So this is the first time i've spent at home since leaving work. I slept for about 4 hours this afternoon catching up with the weekends activities and leaving work. Enough of boring you all. thanks for all the messages in my guest book...keep em coming....... |

well well well.... Cari has left work... so now we're living in each others pocket for around a year - wish us luck!!! Steve and Clairs wedding was brilliant - loads of dancing, laughing and mirrors. Had a great time, gunna miss those two over the next year. Christening was great, saw loads of people we havent seen for a while - so that was nice.... Estate agents already have two people interested in renting our house - we saw one couple drive past the other night looking through our windows ---- eeeekkkkkkk! Its really happening!...... But before we hand the house over I need to hire an electrician to sort out a few loose ends (dodgy work I did).... more planning and organising! --- Can't wait till we hit the road and the fun starts..... it's all a bit too much like hard work at the minute! Cari actually bought some clothes to take with her today - WOW packing can actually start!!!! But she's probably going to need a little more space than she has.... I went through a serious shoe dilema --- I can only fit 2 pairs in my pack... and one has to be boots, so do I go for trainers or dressy shoes... if maybe sandals.. it's impossible to work out what you'll need... so I reckon the only way is to start off with as little as possible and buy stuff when you need it. Can't wait till all this planning and organising is all over and done with and we can just go and have (hopefully) the time of our lives! |
