Been a while since the last entry... things are coming along.. Cari has sent off for her new passport! (at last) We've booked a hotel in San Fran for 4 nights! Gives us plenty of time to experience the city and buy some camping equipment... Easter Island - a great new development... started emailing a very helpful woman in Canada called Sasha (thankyou!), found her email address on tripadvisor. She's put us onto a great place - self catering bungalow in Hanga Roa... A lot cheaper than the other place we were going to book and we can make our own food saving even more. Will also allow us to make sandwiches for during the day... or yeah - the place looks great too! So hopefully over the next few days we'll have it confirmed... Also might have a buyer for my car!! I'm about to take it to the garage to get a little electrical glitch sorted out... then I'll be cleaning it for a whole day tomorrow... then might show it to the buyer on Wed (today Mon).... so here's hoping... I'll miss my little MGF - It was great fun! Having some meeting with a bank bloke soon to talk about the best way of handling money while we're out there.... quite complicated - in fact it's probably not - I just make everything that way!!! Saw Kate and Pete and kids the other day - really good to see them again - Kate could give birth any day!! That's going to be insane - Broome having a baby?!?!???!! Also saw Steve and Clair - Brilliant laugh as usual, Steve showed me his Labyrinth... coming along quite nice, a bit dark and smelly but he likes it that way. (Hope you're both not too stressed planning the old wedding!) They've showed an interest in adopting the monolith (our TV) for a year... so that's another thing maybe sorted out.... I reckon it'll fit! We didn't go camping because of very very heavy rain. Bugger. |

Finished working on my car today - it's ready to sell :( Someone is suppose to be coming round and looking at it today.... but looks like it's about to piss down... Typical - wasn't a cloud in the sky yesterday... Went for a jog yesterday, first time since I broke my ankle - hurt a bit, but I managed around 25 mins.... which is prob about 2.5 miles which ain't bad! But I'm paying for it today... oh yes.. very very stiff indeed! Quite happy though - my lungs handled it pretty well! Looks like we'll be staying in the bungalow on Easter Island arranged through Sasha (thank you!)... the owner should be sending us confirmation soon.... saving us loads of cash - and we'll have our own kitchen... hopefully! Going up to my parents this weekend... gunna clear out one of their spare rooms ready for storing our stuff... will be clearing out thier loft space as well - cheers mam and dad! So going to have to go and sort out some boxes to take up with me...... Cari gets to drive my super clean car off on a hen weekend and I get to drive her grubby little thing full of boxes up the M1 on a Friday! - can't wait. |

Well... my car is sold.... Bo hoooo! and Brilliant! I've got it for another 5 weeks though.... nice. Got the price I was looking for as well! Put it towards a new one when I get back. Went to see Mam and Dad this weekend - had a great time. Thanks to Dad and Chris for sorting out the attic and spare room with me, more rubbish than we though eh! So the first 6 boxes of our stuff are now in the attic, another huge step. Getting more and more real by the day...... We both got some of our jabs this last week... and it looks like we should be getting our Yellow Fever Jab some time later this week... hope it doesn't make us ill.... just got to work out how many malaria tabs we need now... head ache. Went for my third jog in a week today... and it's proven to be one too far. My ankle is pretty sore now, so I'll have to go back to the bike for a week.... and take it a bit easier! Bob is visiting Derby tomorrow so I'll be out with all the lads for a few drinkies... looking forward to it! Same Nath isn't around as well.... maybe if Bob had given a little more notice.. silly monkey. |

Sent a fax (thanks to martin for the lend) to SAS travel 2 days ago so with a bit of luck that should be the Amazon trip and the Inca Trail booked! WoooHooo! Couldn't go and buy backpacks because my bloody knee has been a nightmare since jogging - so looks like I'm unable to run after all.... better just stick to the bike and swimming. Anyway - time to go and light that BBQ! |

Yeah Yeah! I'm a slacker....... Anyhoo..the exciting news. Had Yellow Fever today and so far not died. We sat in waiting room waiting for the possibly fatal injection, listening to Pan Pipe Moods....playing Ronan Keating..... made me want to die right there and then...imagine if that was the last tune i ever heard.....jesus........!!!!!!Note to doctors out there change your music....people could die.... I'll stop ranting.... On mass diet now, 1)coz stu is nearly thinner than me, 2)wedding and Christening (beautiful baby Elysia) very close, 3) Ca?lifornia beach babes, i'll look like Bella Emberg ??in comparison (strangley enough Stu has a Russ Abbott look about him) So that's the update. I apologise and will write more often. but as a famous person once said "you say it best....when you say nothing at all...." i love pipes! cough cough....splutter splutter....grabbing throat........ |

Can't do much because my bleeding knee is shagged!! Sticking some ice on it on a night... maybe going to docs tomorrow..... Well the roof on our house has been repaired - £70 - cheecky monkeys. But of course they found some extra things that we should consider doing before winter...... we'll see. Made loads (3) of phone calls to people to day and research mobile phone for trip and buying a cheap dig camera to take with us as well as good one... we'll need to catch those mental nights out as well! Cari - I don't look like russ abbott! I look like toadfish of neighbours!... |

Hey! Progress - SAS have got back in touch about the Inca trail and amazon trip... turns out that when I sent the fax it got all messed up and they couldn't read it. They replied using email straight away to another fax I sent yesterday... so we're now talking to them via Email (like any normal human would) and it looks like it's all going ahead! |
Machu Picchu here we come! |
We bought our backpacks on Saturday! Turned out we got Karrimor 50 + 20 with detachable day packs.... got to say that when you get them home and lay them on the floor you start thinking - how the hell am I going to live out of that for a year! We also got sleeping bags and silk liners... all very exciting. Saw the Doc today about my ear - she reckons I should be fine diving!!!! She couldn't see any perferation so i shouldn't have a problem..... excellent! Now I just have to wait for my knee to heal.... it's feeling better every day and I've got an apointment with physio on monday, so with a bit of luck I reckon I can start diving in about a weeks time! Bob made a flying visit again on Sunday night... went out down town had a good night out.... Bob was soooooooooooo drunk...... but funny as always. Saw baby Morgan over the web cam the other night - BRILLIANT - can't wait to go over and see them all.... Steve's stag weekend in Oxford coming up! Excellent! |

Hello again!!!!! Well news- arama. Rhodelle and Carl, fabulous, fantata people have a new addition to their family. Baby Ruby Maria was born on the 23rd June and unfortunately she has a mancunian passport so she is immediately banned from at least 7 countries worldwide. However she is beautiful. I'll get her permission and stick a piccie on soon. I've been a bit dizzy n nausious (how do you spell that!!!) this week and i think it must be the Yellow Fever. In classic style Stu has stolen my illness and had it 10 times worse. Diet going badly, i've excersised my ass off. Cycling, weights, swimming, jogging and no fat, cheese or anything else i love and i've managed to put on 1 pound. WHAT'S THAT ABOUT!!!!!Kelly (pe teacher) is gonna measure me on Friday to check progress on the thighs ready for those Californian beaches. Poor Kelly. Busy week ahead, thursday is prom, friday INSET DAY clear out office, saturday Kelly's BBQ, Sunday chill....enjoy the few hours until Stu arrives back from Stag weekend. Was asked by student today if I was travelling round the world in a caravan......do i look that old to them!! I'll love and leave, no doubt Stu will keep you informed of his bowel movements, white cell count, blinks per second etc etc.....while i finish up at work and get prepared to write more often.. Missing you all already,,Caz xx |

Oh Cari - you're so funny. Car hire sorted for USA - and extra driver is free!! But on the down side it means I'll have to endure Cari's automobile skills - alough it's an automatic so her steering might improve. Changed the glass shower screen for a shower curtain today (exciting life)... so the tennants don't flood the bathroom.... also been looking at blinds. EXTRA exciting. Knee feeling much better.... so better in fact - this might be the last exciting installment. Congradulations Rodelle and carl!!!!!! |
The Prom....had a fab time. Quite sad at times. It was great to see the best year group i've ever taught in all their posh gear. I would like to mention the following fab students so i can read this back when times get tough and smile.....Andy Coxon, trekkie and the hair, Jodie Culley, Sproot, Toot, Laura and Jade (they always go together) Sara Riley, Charlie (cutey) Steph the sophisticated cat and most importantly Rachael (the little sister). All my other dancers looked fabulous too. Had that moment at times where I realised i used to really love my job and the kids and since this year group has left it hasn't been the same. It feels like the right time to go. Try to get the buzz back........ Enough the ice maiden does not share her feelings... Stu i am funny, funnier than u |
