hello!!!!! Sorry for the lack of updates!!!

Well..... for 2 weeks Newton went missing.... we were devistated. But thanks to the amazing effort Vanessa and family made they got him back!!!! Thank you all soooooooo much!!!!

well... We've done loads and loads of amazing things.....

hiked down into the Grand Canyon!!!!! - 4 hours, 4200ft 7 miles down hilll on the first day - hard on the knees eh Caz! then we stayed at the phantom Lodge at the bottom for a night (very lucky to get a cabin) then the next day hiked 4200ft, 10 miles, 6 hours 6 mins!!!!! All up very steep hill of course.... wow... what amazing views... and what an experience!

Drove through Death Valley (one of the hottest places on earth), when it was overcast and raining!!!!! Could'nt believe it....

Las Vagas.... pretty good but prefer the wilderness..... but I did go on the highest thrill ride in the world... 'big shot' off the top of the 'stratsosphere tower' - at night! SOOOOO SCARY!!!!

Went diving two days ago - what a brilliant time!!! We slept on the boat the night before leaving for the dive spot... met a couple for Poland - really great people - and the next day ended up diving with loads of sealions!! Wow!! Amazing. Caz got to go kyaking with them too!! And the boat had a hot tub in the sun for the journey back...... ah life certainly is hard.

currently in Malibu just north of LA..... been to hollywood and all that stuff..... been to venice beach today.... a spot of sun bathing....by the way, hows the weather back home.... getting dark early is it? getting cold....... oh dear. Oh did I mention the night we arrived in L.A. the mountains were on fire!!! I nearly crashed the car! Don't know if you've seen it on t.v. but its been on the verge of engulfing half of LA - and our campsite!! What an amazing thing to see.... 30 - 40ft flames all around the city..... a bit scary...

well mexico is getting close now... about 12 days I think... keep losing track of the date, so we (caz) is hard at work finding us a hostel in Cancun, for the first night after we land.... only planning to stay in that area for 1 night cos it sounds very very touristy... so we're off to a little Island off the east cost because it's suppose to have one of the best dive sites in the world - not to be missed!! So well have a few days there before heading to all the old stuff in the Yucatan area.... going to be a huge contrast from crusing around the US... but I reckon we're about ready for it... we've done about 3000 miles in the car and have been camping nearly every night! So staying in hostels and eating loads of cheap food - that we havnt cooked on a little gas burner - should make for a welcoming change!

We're really hoping that the hostels in Mexico will have lots of nice computer for us to use.... and who know may even be able to put some pictures up on the site!!!! would be nice!!!!... we've taken about 400 of the buggers!

Anyway got to go.... have abused the good library of LA long enough for today.... so... back to the beach maybe - or a cocktail in Malibu..... decisions decisions...

Love to you all......

remember to scroll down and check if there is more... the editor we're using to create this is rubbish!

Hillbillies next to us in Malibu singing "The Joker" V.funny.
well.... cant believe the US part is over... had such a great time, met loads of great people....

time to start sleeping in a bed again! Can you believe we're camped, in a tent, for over a month!!! A serious test of patients (spelling!?) at times - eh caz!

Staying in a hotel tonight for the first time for as long as i can remember.... ahhhh... being able to get out of bed (with out crawling throught a damp flap....), walk accross fluffy carpet and straight to the loo..... (that doesnt stink like the devils anus.) Lovely.... Dont get me wrong - SOME parts of camping a brilliant - like last night watching the sun go down over the ocean as we made tea......

well got to cut it short someone needs the pc (as usual).

Oh - did we mention the pink rattle snake that we nearly stepped onto while at the bottom of the
Canyon - it certainly did rattle at us..... and we ran screaming like children back to our lodge!

Anyway... it's time to lay in a bath..... ahhhh been soooooo long

Hola everyone and bienviendos Mexico!

My spanish spelling is poor so please forgive all my friends who are bi/tri lingual.

So we are currently in Merida, we should be in Playa Del Carmen but we took our own advice, not however the advice of the hostel we were in, and caught a very full bus outa there.

So it,s windy and rainy and very humid and we cant buy beer coz the govener says it is not allowed and all the shops apart from internet cafes are shut. Saw some images of where we were and the place was flooded and messy.

We took it as a sign when we arrived back from the beach to find chipboard over our windows.

Anyhoo we are in a great hostel here and met a great couple who we played cards with and tried to conduct a find beer plan.  The plan didn,t work, and is still in action.

Sent some postcards so you may/or may not knowing our look so far with the postal service receive them.

Stu went diving in some caves and to see some turtles before Wilma arrived and i relaxed by the hostel pool reading a John Grisham.  Please dont read John Grisham..........he,s pap.  But i had no other book.

Soon to be my birthday so please hold a toast on my behalf.  I will be in another town by then and may not have t,intenet.  By the way Spanish keyboard different to ours so my punctuation is not great (not that it ever has been!!!)

Love to y,all, and hope you are enjoying half term, see still thinking of ya!

Kisses to all the babies and ninos.....especially, Elysia, Morgan, Fin. Abs, Kane, Rosa, Eva Tom, Saul the destroyer and my gorgeous butterfly.  xxxxxxx

be back soon xx

Well... HELLO! been a while since Ive written...

Mexico is great! Very hot and humid, amazing temples and ruins, we were in palenque yesterday and it blew our minds. We ve been staying in quite a ´hippy´ type place in the jungle over the last few days, sleeping in a little cabana - which is very nice! However the screaming dogs and the chanting hippys was quite a test last night! Just waht we needed before our 15 hour bus journey! But hey thats what travelling is all about!.... So many young´uns discarding their designer travel wear to make way for knitted hippy dresses - please! its all so fake! get a grip!

We ve been hanging around with this ozzy guy for a few days, John, really nice guy, so chilled out he didnt realise it was his birthday until the day after when we were having breakfast! He doesnt have a watch... and didnt know the day or date... which is all fine and good, BUT, hes on life saving medicane and needs to take it at regular times!.... He has to cut his trip short because he has deep vien thrombosis!!!! Has to inject him self in the stomach so he can fly - now thats dedication. We went to a beautiful river and water falls in the jungle with him... went for a swim... pretty strong currents, so we stayed in safe areas and he goes and throws himself off a huge water fall, gets sucked under and doent surface for about 30 seconds!!! Turns out hes perfectly fine just MENTAL.

Anyway, enough about him! We re doing fine... maybe a little tired, pretty hard to get a good nights sleep in the jungle... saw a huge spider hanging on a thread just above Caris head last night (while she slept) it was about the size of a mouse. Luckly for her, and me, it was heading in an upward direction and dissapeared into the rafters.

Best thing about staying in loads of hostels is meeting people... we ve made loads of new friends, and we keep bumping into them as we move around.... really good fun! Got stop drinking cheap beer into early in the morning! It couldnt be more different to the US if it tried!

The diving I did in the Cenote caves was UTTERLY amazing, the water was so clear it was as if we were suspended by nothing... just hovering there.. we were under for about 55 mins, most of the time the only light was from our tourches, and sometime it was very narrow! Pretty scary but by the second dive I was relaxed.

Dont know what sort of coverage youve been getting on the hurricane... but wow! Boy did it make travelling form a to b difficult for a while! Still is.... but we re always heading away from the east coast so its getting easier - and cheaper. You wouldnt believe it.... for both of us a room for the night is about 8 quid, top meal and loads of boose, about 17! And you all know how I like to save the old pennies!!!! But please dont think we´re living it up..... for a real treat , on Caris birthday we re going to have a STARTER and a BOTTLE OF WINE... mmmm been soooo long, hey we might even get to hold a real wine glass!

Im blabbing a bit aint I, just killing time until the bus gets here.... oh... 15 hours, thats going to hurt!.... But they sure know how to show us top movies - dodge ball in spanish, GREAT.

Hopefully soon we will be putting some new photos on our web page, not the CANNON thing, we re stopping using that because someone has been messing with it! You know who you are. And might I say, I was expecting it from you!

really really wish Id learnt more spanish while I had the chance! We re doing ok, especially Caz, no suprises there, just wish I could speak to the locals better!... such an interesting place.. The taxis are an experiance I can tell you!
