Solar Energy Industries Association of Australia Code of Ethics
	All members of the Association are required to comply with the Code of Ethics set out hereunder in order to give support to the Association and to promote the development of the industry in the interests of its members and the general public. Non-members of the Association who hold accreditation as designers and installers of RAPS systems or installers of solar water heaters are also required to comply with the Code of Ethics. Therefore:
	1			Members shall design, construct and install equipment in a manner compatible in every respect with the well being and safety of the public, and to comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, codes and standards. Members shall advertise and sell the merits of their own equipment and services and refrain from attacking competitors, or reflecting unfairly on their ability, equipment, service or methods of doing business. Members shall reveal all the material facts about the equipment or service and shall avoid concealment of the capabilities of the equipment or service. Members shall refrain from the use of innuendo in advertising or selling, which may cause customers to be misled, so that the truth about their equipment or services may be fully understood by the trusting as well as the analytical. Members shall advertise only bona fide prices, products and services and refrain from the use of 'bait' advertising methods. Members shall offer a reasonable warranty for products and services and perform on such warranty, either written or implied, where justifiable claims are in order, and do this without hesitation. Members shall ensure that all actions are carried out in a legitimate, ethical and moral way so that they do not, in any manner whatsoever, bring discredit on or be detrimental to the Solar Energy Industries Association of Australia or its members.
