2.1 The New Law--Some jack-ass marshall (Peter Firth yay!!!) breaks up the seven, throws Buck in jail and takes JD's guns...the nerve of some people!! |
My Favorite Scene: MARSHAL BRYCE: I always like to learn as much as I can about a place before I arrive. For instance, you. I know all about you. And about your husband. I'm sorry. It must have been very hard losing him at such a young age and in such a violent manner. MARY: It was. On both Billy and me. MARSHAL BRYCE: Billy seems to be coming out of it all right. He's a bright boy. MARY: Thank you. MARSHAL BRYCE: I've always felt that motherhood is the most important job a woman can do. It's unfortunate that some, such as yourself, are also forced to do a man's work. MARY: I enjoy working, Marshal. MARSHAL BRYCE: That's the spirit. And it's good to keep your hands busy till you remarry. MARY: Remarry? MARSHAL BRYCE: I knew several widows back east who did the same thing by joining the temperance league. It's a righteous cause, although sometimes their activism went to their heads. MARY: Perish the thought. MARSHAL BRYCE: I even overheard one equate the importance of temperance with the issue of women's votes. Ha ha ha. MARY: Really. So let me see if I understand you. You don't think women should work, vote, or drink? MARSHAL BRYCE: It's a matter of priorities. MARY: Marshal Bryce, here's what I think of your priorities. |
My Favorite Line: "JD, do you see that little filly sitting in the corner over there? That is the only person I plan on going head-to-head with."--Buck |

2.2 Sins of the Past--Vin has to face up to his past when he is arrested for the murder that Eli Joe set him up for. Meanwhile, Ezra's mother comes back to town (Michelle Phillips...I love you), and becomes his major compitition after he buys the saloon. Meanwhile, Buck is surprised when a gal tells him she's pregnant with his child and wants to get married. Meanwhile (wow, lots of meanwhiles), This episode is the first with Inez, she works for Ezra at his saloon untill she becomes the manager (bet you can't guess how). *this summary was written in Anna Maria's honor--that's a shout out to my Summer School peeps |
My Favorite Line: EZRA: The question is, what does everyone in this town want to do? What does every visitor here want to do? NATHAN: Leave? |

My Favorite Scene: LUCY: Hi, Buck. BUCK: Lucy, what are you doin' in here? You're gonna have to leave. LUCY: That's not what you said last time we were in here together. BUCK: Well, that was a long time ago. LUCY: Oh, Buck. Ha ha. I've seen all that. You certainly don't have to be modest in front of me, of all people. BUCK: I think I do now. Lucy, we got to talk. LUCY: Oh, don't I know it? There are a thousand things to discuss. The honeymoon, where we'll live-- BUCK: Lucy-- LUCY: And baby names. I like Randolph for a boy and Eudora for a girl. Ha ha ha. What do you think? BUCK: What I think is that you can't see or hear anymore. There isn't gonna be a place to live. There isn't gonna be a honeymoon because there isn't gonna be a wedding. Ok! And one other thing. No little girl of mine is gonna be named Eudora. |
