1885.
1. 26 - born in Seta-gun, Gunma prefecture.
1900.
3. - after gradutation of elementary school, started learning kendo
with his father Zensaku and his brother Aisaku.
1902-07
- trained at Gunma branch of All Japan Butoku Kai.
1919
- recieved title of Kyoshi. [ under the current system, there are
3 titles: Renshi, Kyoshi and Hanshi]
1925.
7. - invited by Korean (Chosen) government to teach kendo. [ at
that time, Korea was called Chosen and part of colonies of Japan
Empire ]
1929
- recieved title of Hanshi.
1931
- participated in the Imperial Inspection Kendo Tournament as both
a judge and selected competitor, and won the tournament. The final
with Shigeyoshi Takano is still talked about as a legendary match.
After
that, he was invited by Kodansha (a publishing company) as an instructor.
Also performed as an instructor of Metropolitan Police Department,
Imperial Police Department, Keio University, Gakushuin University,
Daiichi (First) High School, etc.
1957
- recieved 10th dan from All Japan Kendo Federation.
1974.
