The warm summer sun shone brilliantly on the green meadows covered with juicy grass and the air was fresh. Robert knew that it was time to take his sheep up the mountain again.
They set off in the morning, moving noisily along the country road. The bells hanging from the animal's necks tinkle with their every step. Robert waked in front leisurely, whistling a tune. Beside him was his trusted companion, a donkey he called
Chocolate. Chocolate was carrying a large basket filled with the things that Robert would need on the mountain. Robert's other faithful companion during the summer months ahead was a sheepdog called Chico. Chico watched over the flock as they moved to make sure that no sheep wandered off and the little lambs could keep up with the rest.
The flock passed through the picturesque village with flowers everywhere and began climbing a steep path up the mountainside. Suddenly Chico ran to Robert and began barking loudly. When he got Robert's attention, he ran towards the nock and Robert followed him. Chico led Robert to a little lamb that had fallen and was bleating pitifully. It was only a few months old and its thin legs were bruised. Robert
carried the little lamb in his arms. On the third day, they arrived at the grazing land.
