Backlash is shaping up to be a very good follow-up to WrestleMania 20. So far, there have been five matches signed, and although it is a Raw PPV, it could still become a five-star card.
1.) At WrestleMania 20, the main event World Title match between Chris Benoit, HHH, and HBK was the greatest World Title match at a WrestleMania ever. Now at Backlash, this match will be relived. Only, this time, Benoit is going in as the champion. Can he defeat HHH and HBK in the same match again?
2.) Edge made his return on the day of the Raw and Smackdown Draft/ Lottery. He speared Eric Bischoff and put in a match against Kane as a punishment. Edge also speared Kane, but at Backlash, Kane will get his hands on Edge.
3.) Randy Orton and Mic Foley have been fueding for about five months. Finally, they will have their first ever offical match. Mic Foley will be getting a shot at the Intercontinental Title with no Evolution members ringside. Foley even said that this will be a brutal match.
4.) Trish turned on Jericho to cost him his match against Christian at WerstleMania. Now Chris Jericho will seek revenge on both Trish and Christian in a 2 on 1 match.
5.) At WrestleMania, Victoria retained the Woman's Title against Molly Holly. Lita won a 7 woman battle royal to become #1 contender. They face off at Backlash. |
