       17 SYLLABLES
                              a haiku reader

                by Nicholas Pandora

                Sunlight cuts through leaves,
                dappled patterns on the grass.
                Summer's brief design.

War Songs by Claude de Rivette

                Cheering the proud hero
                releases the iron vultures
                to light the night sky

                Children seek shelter
                retributions clouds release
                steel rain, fire puddles

                by Zeno

                expressing yourself
                in seventeen syllables
                is very diffi

                by J. Oriana Bichon

                Standing mesmorised
                Blinking in the brittle light
                Rooted to the spot.

                Syllable, I will
A little weed in our midst
                "Flobalob!" Said Bill.

                Naked here I stand
                My soul is torn asunder
                The darkness descends.

                The meadow? Long greyed.
                The memory? Young and sharp.
                The link? Will be saved.

                by Ice

                In winter breeze she,
warming to ice and blue cloud,
                is watching air breathe.

                by Anselm Whalen

                Through winter streets
To cold lecture halls I travel
                Asleep in my bed.

                A silent clock fights
                A monotone monologue,
                I watch in boredom.

                autumn leaves fall and
                we apologise for
                delays to your trains.

                a light dust of snow
                barely covers the ground but
                it scares the iron horse.

                by PINK

                As sleep comes quickly
                Darkness delivers sweet dreams
                Mine are about you.
